Just wanted to get opinions on a 1993 teal cobra with black interior.

Rebuilt title
40k miles but carfax reports odometer is in accurate.

It was stolen and I believe it was wrecked as the front fender was replaced and repainted.

Looks clean inside and out but owner wants $13.5k

What do you guys think it is worth?

I've gotten to a point in my life where the value of something is based on how much I want it. Someone will come in here and tell you there is a better deal somewhere in Russia, or you can build it for less in about 10 years.

Take it 13,5 for a Cobra is cheap

the price of the fox body has been growing through the years. So if u like the car and have that kind of money to spend it. Why not. It never hurts to try and haggle with the price

What's a "Rebuilt Title"??

Check for other signs of wreckage, like the radiator support area. Make sure it drives straight for that kind of money. Check it over with a fine toothed comb.

Cant go wrong if it's Teal w/ black interior.. but like everyone said, inspect it very thoroughly and make sure everything looks solid.. if you're serious about purchasing it, its worth spending around $100 to get a Pre-purchase inspection done by a good shop before spending that much money..

Same thing as a salvage title. Different states use different terms. Personally, I wouldn't touch anything with a branded title.

At that price point I would put some more cash in to get a clean title cobra.

The Teal im interested is really clean and carfax shows it at 40k mileage. All original I believe.

The rebuilt title is what gets me.

Like I said before. If u have that kind of money to spend and set on that type of car why not. Clean title here in Cali are going in 20k range. Car looks super clean.

If you are buying the car just to enjoy it, then just make sure that the car was repaired properly. If you intend to keep the car, then resale value is not a big issue. I own two cars with salvage titles and I don't mind, because I have no intention of ever selling either car.

But if you are buying a car with visions of a long-term investment, a salvage/rebuilt title is not a good way to go. Better to spend a little more now to get the right car, with a clean title.

If you are willing to pay 13.5k for the other one, i'd buy the one without a motor and tranny and drop a coyote in it.

The motor swap would offset the depreciation from the rebuild title.

If you got $15k to spend on a '93 Cobra just wait for a clean title one.

Teal is bad ass tho [worship]

Don't rely on others to tell you how to spend or save your money.

Go on the 93 cobra registry website... They have a for sale section and the guys on the board usually post the cars for sale across the country
