What is a 2000 contour svt worth? Has 175k on it and no issues according to the owner, just looking for something cheap for a daily driver. What are some issues with these cars and how is maintenance on them?

Thanks

I was looking for one a few years ago as a daily driver. I heard parts are hard to come by...

There not worth much nowadays which is great cause there great cars. Even low miles are worth like 3k to 3500 at most. Only issue that my friends had was the transmission was weak but that's only if u drive hard like the car should be lol.

Are they 5 speed or automatic?

5 Speed.

Water pump is a bitch to replace.

Vacuum powred intake runner flapper tends to fail. Easy upgrade to throw in a 3L shortblock.

The 2.5L was known to get rod knock. Due to the oil pan design. But considering the number of miles it would of happened already if it was going to.

I have a spare 5 speed out of my old one that is good and i no longer need. If someone wants it they just have to come and pick it up!
