What happened to it? Would it be easier to replace it?

I was working on my car. Disconnected battery had windows down started sprinkling connected it back on forgot to disconnect it again unplugged pcm to splice some wires after i was done went to connect battery and saw that it was connected. Now my fuel pump wont turn on checked fuses, relays, inertia switch. It will only turn on if i ground the ccrm relay to pcm signal. Got new ccrm and still same problem. Checked for codes all fuel related and kam and rom error codes. Used ones go for about 2-300 plus i have to reprogram pats since its on a 97 cobra thats another 100 or so then i have to go get it retuned since its supercharged

I bought a Reman'ed ECU for my 96 cobra from O'Reilly, IIRC it was about $150. The PATS reset was another $100.

Can you save the tune to a handheld and re-upload it to the new ECU?

Some info that may help just in case before buying another computer. Note... The engine must be cranking when activating fuel pump relay

If you are in Sacramento I can look at this car for you. Don't just rule out the pcm before going through all the parts step by step. I own a reputable shop in South Sacramento. Call me anytime 9169123493. I do a lot of electrical on these cars.

I will bust out my dmm today and go through the steps today. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately i live in san jose. Are Chilton books any good as far as wiring diagrams?
