So on friday i traded my t-top for a clean 2000 Denali. Yea i know its a chevy but i needed a truck. So anyways my cars tags were good till September this year and i had the pink which i gave the guy. When i went to register the truck, dmv said it owed 900 in fees. Dude told me he paid for it which i fucked up by not having him give me proof. Well now im out about a grand that i wasnt supposed to spend on the shit and dudes avoiding me. Worst part is he lives all the way out in sac. My question is should i just give up on trying to get hold of him or what? I dont think i can do anything at this point but im pretty pissed off about it and i feel super played. My friends telling me to just chalk it to the game but idk. I guess its my fault for not checking up on the dmv stuff before i went through with the deal.

On a side note for the assholes i dont want to hear "cool story bro" that shits annoying as hell and no help

why didn't you check dmv online first? just cause it got tags and plates etc, don't mean shit.

+1 you can go on the dmv website and it will tell you exactly how much it owes and how much you have to pay..

Ive actually been in that situation before.. just had to say F*** it and consider it a tuition fee.. now i know, ALWAYS check first haha
