I just finished my 3g alternator conversion on my 92 mustang 5.0 and the volts, every now and then drops below half. Why does it do that?? I do have the ac on full blast with the headlights on. Is this normal??

that doesn't sound right... Double check your work just in case.

If you haven't done it yet, the ground wires on a stock 5.0 are crap and need to be upgraded to take advantage of the stronger alternator.

Add a ground wire from one of the empty holes in the drivers cylinder head to the drivers side sway bar mounting bracket bolts on the frame rail.

Add a ground wire from that same sway bar bracket bolt to the battery ground.
