Good times, maybe bigger carb, and 3" exhaust will probably wake it up a lot more.

You could try a 650 holley DP on that thing.

I ran a QFT mechanical 650 on my 306 opened the motor up it was also in a full interior 67 coupe with a toploader 4speed and ran 12.8 all day.

Yeah carb runs great but a bit small. He has a Holley 750 dp that is going on soon so we can see the difference. Needs some big n lils for track duty as these 17's are tanks. Should run some low 12's after that hopefully.

What heads are you running ?

Seems a little slow for a 347. Especially in a light car.

It is running the Blueprint 190 heads.

Its not my car just a buddies. It will be faster once a few things are changed around. Not bad for out of the box. Things it needs...

Carb...Holley 750 dp
Rpm air gap intake
Light weight wheels n tires

I'm curious to see what he'll do after the new parts. On my 347 I'm running ported Edelbrock RPM heads, 670 Holley DP, Victor jr intake and going to change the headers. Gives me hope to break into mid 12s.

Your top end sounds good. Alot just depends on the total combination. What cam, trans, converter, tires, gears?

Custom grind cam, T-5, BFGs, and plan on 3.73 gears. I have stock right now and I know that won't last long

You still running the 8" rear? If so a buddy has a near new set of 3.55's he might sell.

Yea still have the 8". I appreciate it but I want 3.73's

Ok cool. I don't think they make 3.73 in the 8". From the 3.55 goes to a 3.80.

Nice car! Making me want to get back out to the track.

Would have gone faster had it been towed by the BBC stroker.
