A lot of pro touring guys are doing it.
If memory serves me right dodge is the original car that they came with from the factory.

I thought it was that special edition blue Vette with the red stripes that started it all. That was the first car I saw have those stripes.

They are called fia or pit stripes. They were originally used on cobras to help identify the driver of the car for the pit crew.

This. It's an old school racing thing that's making a comeback like Le Mans stripes were a couple of years ago.

Correct. I hate when people call them grand sport stripes, Shelby ran them in '63 to tell cars apart when they had more than one car on the track with the same livery. Although they were only on the pit wall side, a lot of guys (including myself) run them on both sides for a symetrical look.

I don't actually drive a hybrid man, although my car is slow. They're not for everyone, and I'm not trying to push them on anyone. I like how they look, so I run them.
