It's a big issue in the car community, worth vs cost.

Here's a little insight as to why I'm bringing up the subject:
1982 ttop coupe (original t roof car glx model with 6 banger) now has 5.0/5 speed swap lt exhaust 373's ponys full aero interior it's spray painted white. Has 83-84 front end clean title tagged it's a decent car. I know the guy traded a not so expensive (1200-1500) supercharger kit for it and has only fixed the crappy paint (with more spray paint) change the front end from aero to the 83 clip and at first was asking 3800. I offered 3500 he said ok. He reposted it for 4k I say "what's up" he says he now wants 3750 from me if I want it. Mind you mean while it's postsd for 5k on Sacramento Craigslist. It's a ttop coupe but I can't let it blind me making a good decision/investment.

I'm not bashing the guy I just want to know, with all the info I know, out there for you to interpret, what would you do? Is a cars worth over shadowed by what the initial cost was? Is a profit margin that large devalue the car? Or is a ttop coupe just worth saying fuck it? Let's hear what you guys have to say.

Although T-top coupes are clean, his isn't. I seen it on the facebook edition and I can't believe he rattle canned the whole thing and the interior looks shot too.

The more I think of it the more I have to agree. It would need paint and a lot of love to be worth it.

Id pass, probably worth 4k if it had most of its original body parts. But loooks like a 2k car that's going to leave you stranded many times. .just look they couldn't even do dual exhaust tips.

From the looks of the 6th picture on the ad. The carpeting looks soaked from the rain. Bad weather strips on the T-tops?! I'd pass.
