Anyone still have an original clean foxbody? Post your pics. Original paint? I want to see these rare gems. Mines a 89 gt

Original.. Clean.. Foxbody.. those are 3 words not a lot of people can use in a sentence together very often.. theyre definitely needles in a haystack nowadays! Clean car bro!

Its almost at the point now where a factory stock Fox body is more desirable than a modded one.

Posted by Autumnstang97 (Member # 6111) on :

I've never had a fox body. Sometime ago I wanted a 1993 Teal Cobra.

I know there has to be a few out there. Only mods on my ride are full exhaust. And rear end fully rebuilt with 3.73s. And the 17s. Everything else basically stock. Its crazy because even all the body parts have the vin # on them. Not one part replaced

To me mostly original has always been a priority

Those taillights aren't original.

It's nice to see a truly clean example of a foxbody. Very tastefully done, and easily returned to 100% stock, if desired. Unfortunately, I'll be surprised if another is posted in this thread.

This is clean!although i dont agree with the choice of clear lights. Its look badass. I think the original looking ones would be better jus my opinion though. Saleens are my fav on a fox

Post em. And you wouldnt believe what a buff and polish will do to an old paint job. I had a buddy that was ready to spray his 68. After we buffed it and gave it a good polish it shined pretty damn nice.

The car looks nice in pictures. In person you can some paint fade and scratches. For original paint, it's not that bad. I would like to paint it eventually. Black. And I still have my cheesegraters on. That's something I knew from the beginning that I didn't want to take off or get rid of

Looks like a matte paint job. Which is quite popular these days. I say it just needs a wash and caps and its ready!

Yeah paint can be a bitch to take care of when you leave cars outside. Fortunately mine was always garaged and paint looks 5yrs old instead of 25. I wish i would have kept my cheesegraters but when some guy offered me $100 i had to sell em. Plus they are easy to find.

I agree, think it just needs to be lowered

Posted by SacGrown89GT (Member # 7435) on :

Yes it does need to be lowered but my friend likes it that way. No rub anywhere. We put all new shock and bushings and it looks lifted. But it rides so nice

Believe it or not, the car is "plasti-dipped".
Did this because I put the saleen kit along with a custom front air defuser that were not painted. So....to keep it from looking too terrible....I shot the whole car with plast dip.
After this season of track days I will be peeling it off and painting the whole car again.

MM coilovers in front and adjustable control arms in the rear. I'd like to lower it a tad more, but the coilovers would rub on the tires.

Thanks! I get some minor scraping on steep drivways, but that's about it. Of course not having ground effects helps;)

I just scored this very original 1984 coupe. 60k grandma miles. Still has the original push button radio. The interior looks brand new besides the headliner needed to be re-glued. Truly a time capsule car. The original paint is even nice.
