What would cause the spark plug to be shot out of the cylinder head perfectly fine? Almost as if it were unscrewed

It probably wasn't tightened down all the way. check the threads for damage and retighten it if the plug is good. If it keeps coming out, you might have a stripped spark plug thread in your head.

Was it on a mod motor that the spark plug came out off.

was a 4.6, the thread was completely fine which is why it was weird

I had this happen before. I had over tightened a spark plug in an aluminum head. Spark plug shot out, threads were stripped. Had to pull the head and have it repaired at a machine shop.

holy crap that sounds like shit to deal with... the spark plug screwed back in fine and tightened up. the threads on the spark plug itself were perfectly fine. not stripped or anything. thats why it was so odd...

Very common for mod motors to shoot spark plugs out.
