You can't stop what will happen. Just prepare to be able to survive a few days without running water, electricity. Have an emergency bin with food, water, flashlights, batteries and radios.

Just consider yourself lucky, I didn't feel the one on Sunday morning also but I remember the one in 1989, that one was crazy, freeways moving around like crazy, in 89 I was under a freeway in Walnut Creek and it moving around like a snake, it was insane, sad part is all the people that died on the Cypress and some that were trapped alive for days and some got out and some didn't make it, I guess they build things better because the damage isn't too bad from what I have seen
