yes, if you can't pass this test you have no business being an officer. My advice to you is if your not in shape, get in shape before you apply or attempt the physical test.

What is the physical ability test required for academy graduation?

Students must take and pass the POST Work Sample Test Battery after completing the physical conditioning program, but before academy graduation. Academies may have a substitute test, or they may have additional tests that students must pass before graduation. The Work Sample Test Battery includes these five events:

OBSTACLE COURSE Run a 99-yard obstacle course consisting of several sharp turns, a number of curb-height obstacles, and a 34-inch high obstacle that must be vaulted
BODY DRAG Lift and drag a 165-pound lifelike dummy 32-feet
CHAIN LINK FENCE Run 5 yards to a 6-foot chain link fence, climb over fence, continue running another 25 yards
SOLID FENCE CLIMB Run 5 yards to a 6 foot solid fence, climb over fence, continue running another 25 yards
500-YARD RUN Run 500 yards

Each of the five events is timed. Student performance times are converted to points and summed. Students must accumulate a total score of 384 points to pass.

That test on the video is a joke!!! People need to start working out and be in better shape

Plenty of running. Anyone who is in any kind of running shape can complete these exams. You just have to train, try specificity training ( exactly what the physical agility test is testing in). Find a park or a gym that has all these obstacles.

My advise to you will be to get ready for that dummy drag, it will drain plenty of your energy. Especially if you have to dash 500 yards after dragging it.

Your goal is to get into the 500 points and above club.

Make sure to eat right, train hard and do plenty of cardio.

Good luck.

Not yet. Thats my ultimate goal. Either Fireman or flight nurse. Private paramedic school is 14k plus. Community college medic school takes too long. Just trying this out. Whatever pays me good, helps me build my toys and has good retirement.

^^^

Dont be a paramedic then. The pay is horrible.

Ive done it muliple times.
First you start by sitting in the driver seat of a cruiser. Then when they say go you get out and run in and out of cones without knocking them over for 50 to 60 yards. Then turn around and do the same back to the car.
Then turn back and run to the last cone and turn right roughly 20 yards and bend another right and scale a 4' chain link fence. Then run another 20 yards and jump over a 3' rubber mat. "They say it's supposed to be a ditch", then bust a left for 10 yards and you go up 3 stairs threw a window then down 3 steps. Then sprint 25 or so yards to drag a 165 pound dummy 8 or so yards to a cone and back.
Then sprint 30 yards to the finish line. Then your time stops, but then u have to do a handcuff simulator for another 30 secs. U have 3 attempts to to do it or u fail. I believe u get 3:45 seconds to do the course but obviously the quicker the better. The fastest i did it in was 2:31. Good luck you will be winded as fuck. Hopefully u get the morning test.

Law enforcement physical ability tests are a joke.

If your actual goal is to be a firefighter or flight nurse don't become a cop.

Also, if "Whatever pays me good, helps me build my toys and has good retirement." is your motivation please stay out of any kind of public service because your priorities are all fucked up.

Yes, I'm a cop. Yes, the physical standards are laughable. No, we don't want people with your mindset in our profession.

A flight nurse’s first responsibility, however, lies with her patient.
