Is it worth it? He has a lot of work done to it and looks like he didn't cut corners, but is it worth it?

Charles [patriot]

My bad sorry:

$100k is a lot of coin for a Mustang. Brand new 30th Anniversary Saleen or new 2014 Shelby SuperSnake maybe... But it's hard to justify spending that kind of money on a used Mustang. That's used GTR or ZR1 money. Or maybe a new C7 Z06.

I know someone that just put 80k down on a new edge mustang last summer. Some cars a just worth more money then others.

Nice car but for 100k. I could buy 2013 gt500 and 2015 gt. And have left over money for mods and gas money for the next two years lol

100K for a flat black fastback eh? No doubt it has all the good stuff, I just feel like the flat black is a real deal breaker.

I hated the flat black paint job myself!!

so my car is a bargain at 8500

It's got nice parts but all off the shelf stuff. I've got similar goodies going in my '65 Fastback and mine will have more power under the hood. I'd love for mine to be worth $100k when it's finished. [Roll Eyes]

$100k for a '65 with under 600hp? I mean... I'm not saying it isn't worth it... If i had the disposable funds I'd loosely consider it... If all the receipts are available and work was done at a highly reputable shop...But it had better be literally flawless... and I'd probably low ball him a little, because those wheels are wack for a $100k car. Needs some baller forged wheels like HRE or ADV.1.

Maybe it's a typo and added an extra number [Confused]

It doesn't have multi piece wheels
It doesn't have 14in brakes all the way around.
It doesn't have an all aluminum motor.
It doesn't even have that great of a suspension under it.

It's a nice car.... But I wouldn't pay anywhere near that price for that particular car. I'd rather have an older ring brothers but show car then this.

bet the reason he's asking that much is because of the body work that's been done. guaranteed it wasn't done himself so he probably spent 20k on getting the quarters replaced.

regardless of what was said. I think the car's badass! Thats a pretty stout list of parts, I guess you can call that a frame up restomod car?? I would have used different wheels if the intentions were to sell the car when complete but its not my car to say. Your getting a pretty badass 6spd '65 Fastback with probably zero to little flaws that can easily be made into a street cruiser. Price might be a little steep but im sure the right rich buyer looking for something like that will see it..

He porobably listed at $100k on craigs expecting $50k offers. Car is nice, but the flat black doesnt work well on most old schools in my opinion.

No way is that worth 100k I would much rather get a 67-70 gt500 or 350 for that kind of money.

Probably have a hard time finding a real GT 500 for 100k. But a 350 might be had for 75k
