So ever since the smart phones came out, I had Iphones and now android phones. My current phone is a note 2. And I notice this phones start taking a shit around the two year mark. The past two days my note 2 has been freezing a lot and has never done that before. My other phones did the same shit even the iphones I use to have. Just pissed I guess time for a new phone. Rant over

Phones are tiny computers. They require the same amount of maintenance and run into obsolescence issues just like any other device with an operating system. My Galaxy S3 is close to two years old, but when I notice it starting to hiccup, I spend some time and clean it up.

When u say clean up what do you mean. I had over 1500 photos that I took out already and clean up a few apps I never use. And clear other minors things too.

If your phone has a ram cleaner use it. Close out all apps too. I do this with my Galaxy and I have no problems.

Try saving your pics on a card and saving/writing down your contacts and then do factory reset

True, smartphones are pretty much designed to start having issues around the 2-3 year mark though. Servicing them is the best way of maintaining them in good shape though. Run cleaners on your smartphone and anti-spyware. Also limit the porn you watch on your phone [Razz] lol.. Iphones suck in my opinion.. too restricted on what you can and cannot do (only great feature is facetime). [patriot]

I was reading an article a while back stating that companies intentionally make your phone slower and shorter battery life everytime you update it in order to get consumers to buy their newest products
