Anyone work on home air conditioning system? or know someone that does in sac area.

A/C in my house is in-op.

was it working and just stopped? check the capacitor. its on the outside unit, behind an access panel. it will look like a beer can. if the top of it has popped, then you need a new one. its a 35 dollar part that hvac companies like to charge 300-400 to replace and it takes literally 15 mins to change.

The unit out side is working and has a full charge. Just no cool air coming out.

Just need to be recharged with freon. Have someone that knows how do it for you they charge like 60.

how do you know it has a full charge. big line will be cold little line hot.
indoor fan on.
is the compressor running.


$60 wont even pay for the refrigerant.

If you have a hook up it will. Mine was done for that. If i still had that connect ide pass em right along. Im sure someone will do it cheap.
