Im Tossing Around The Idea Of Getting A Truck To Tow My CAr To The Track If Needed,I Dont Want To Spend More Than 6To7K, I SeeN A Couple Early Broncos Im Interested In. Does Anyone Have Any ExperieCe Towing With A Bronco?

Early broncos (66-77) have a short wheel base and are probably not the best to tow a car hauler with. The trailer will likely control the bronco...

Later full size broncos are probably some better.

2 door tahoe is the way lol 5.7 4x4 lifted with a whipple sc you can pretty much tow anything and they look bad ass, still a ford guy do [Big Grin]

95-97 powerstroke or 1st gen cummins, hands down

6.9 and 7.3 ford idi diesels are good too, pre 94'. Have power but not a race truck. 80-97 ford trucks are solid.

I'm in the same boat except I don't want to pay more than $4-5k lol. I've been looking at F150's, expeditions, tables, etc... Still not sure what I want though.

I had a f150 94 an the suspension was not really meant for towing. I also had a 96 gmc suburban 2500. With the 454 vortec and 3/4 ton running gear. The suburban was ready to tow out of the box. So I would recommend a 96-99 Chevy/gmc with the 7.4 vortec and8 lug suspension. Also I had a 89 f350 lifted with the 460 & 3 speed auto, it would tow a house but the 2 gas tanks it had would be empty after 200 miles.

I was actually looking into a 93-96 F150. Was your 94 a 2wd? Why do you feel the suspension was not made for towing? Too soft? Trailer was controlling the tow vehicle?

I had a 94 single cab regular bed 2wd. When you put anything in the bed it would sag a bit. It didn't have any tow package just the 2" ball on the bumper. I think the f150 would not tow a car on a trailer very well. You would probly want a f250 or f350 for towing cars. You could probly find a 80s or 90s f250/350 for pretty cheap.

a 5.4 xlt expedition or f150 will tow a car no problem
