High ticket prices are kind of to be expected the first while. Have to pay the thing off. Still a bummer to those who can't afford them next year.

it's not that bad. i paid 2k a seat for some nose bleeds but you can finance it within 10 years so i pay 400 a year for 2 seats.

It's stupid money for seat rights. I work with a guy who good friend has been a season ticket holder for 15+ years. He makes really good money. ( Over 200k a year. ) The equivalent of his seats would be around 40k. He said fuck it because he didn't want to come out of pocket for that ON TOP off the longer ride to the park.
It's really sad because I remember an old man on TV who had been a season ticket holder sense Kezar Stadium wasn't going to be able to continue buying season tickets because of the increase in ticket prices/seat rights. These billion dollar stadiums are pricing the average joe out of season ticket ownership. I bet people are going to go in on seats like a fucking time share in the near future...... If they don't do that already LOL.

I do have a Q for the REAL 49ers fans, what do you really think of this new stadium? The Giants got a super shiny nice ass park right by the Bay and you guys have to commute to SC to watch a game at a stadium that doesn't really look like anything special. There are a lot of stadiums around the league that appear to be better looking then the Niners new pad. Are you guys happy with the stadium/location?

I know there are serious football fans on here but under no circumstances should you be paying so much to sit in a seat at the stadium. the coverage on TV is excellent and you are cozy in your home watching it for FREE.
Save that money and buy stuff for your Mustang. You are better off spending the money that way. At least you have something to show for it.

As a die hard niner fan I really don't mind the location I'm in the middle of Santa Clara and Candle Stick so the drive doesn't make a difference. Candle Stick was and is a dump that place didn't have a future so the niners did need to upgrade and its unfortunate that a deal couldn't get done in the actual city of San Francisco. As far as the ticket prices are concerned I'm afraid that the real die hards will get priced out and that atmosphere will have a corporate and robotic feel with fans not really having a clue whats going on. That being said i'll still root for my niners no matter where they are.

Yeah I definitely agree with you on them needing an upgrade from Candlestick and unfortunately you know that at least at the start the whole place will be filled with business clients and companies showing off the new arena. My old lady works for ATT, when ATT then PacBell park opened we used to get company seats, the entire lower section was just people talking business and on their phones the whole time. Hopefully it's a little better with your guys teams since it's only 8 home games a year.

It's not anywhere near as good as the Cowboys new statium but u have to expect a price increase somewhere. But the seat prices are rediculous and they will not fill seats at those prices! I will always root for the Niners and will never change teams but have no interest in going to a game at these prices! I think they could have upped the prices on beer and food! That is what Dallas did! I heard that the price of one pizza was like $32 or something. Either way they are going to have a rude suprise when seats don't fill

The actual ticket price has not changed much. Its the seat licensing that is exborant. I went to Santa Clara and sat through the whole presentation with our sales associate. Its the licensing that people our taking payment plans on, not the actual tickets. Its essentially an investment, the club levels at ATT park had the same thing and they have returned 8-10% a year when people decide to sell. The reconditioned meadowlands stadium has an even higher rate of return. The license also gives you first rights to an event in Levi minus the Super Bowl and I believe college bowls. So the cost up front is sticker shocking, but its not money that is getting pissed away.

I would've liked for them to remodel and update Candlestick, much better location and a lot of history there. The new stadium IMO sucks and the location is horrible and oh yeah no more tailgating! This was/is a stupid move everyone who lives near there is going to HATE it it'll most likely jam 3 freeways at once!

#1 Ramp up the fans and be a winning team for few years.
#2 Get them behind you and build a new stadium.
#3 Sell out the stadium and start doing stupid shit and make sure the fans are nice and drunk with 10.00 beers so they don't notice.
#4 Dismantle the team starting with a great coach and top players will follow...
#5 Go into complete shambles the next season (since you can) and be like the Raiders but at least you have a fancy new stadium. Since the Raider fans don't care how bad they are, maybe the niner fans won't either.

You can trace back the beginning of their demise way before Harbaugh was let go. I noticed a huge change in the team the second Kapernick became the starting QB.
I tried telling people Kapernick wasn't the answer and it fell on def ears. Now lets see how this guy does without some pro bowl caliber players, different coaches and a lack of veteran leadership of both sides of the ball.
I will go ahead and say it now. The Raiders will have a better record then SF next season.

This team is full of talented young players ready to fill in. Willis is a great player and individual and can never be replaced but last year he didn't even play half the year and bowman was out all last season and the niners still ended up with the number 4 defense. Bowman can step up in and play up to the level that willis played and Borland can step in and play like a pro bowler like he showed last season. The only concern I have is what direction this team is heading. What's their identity. Who's in charge. Is Jedd York going to finally get out of everyone's way or is he going to be like Al Davis and cripple a once proud organization. Oh and as far as your bet I will bet you $200 the niners will have a better record than the raiders.

Honestly I like levi's its not perfect by any means but you can't really compare a baseball stadium to football since the baseball stadiums have more freedom to customize due to difference in dimensions and football is cookie cutter. I don't like the fact they're in santa clara, but if they couldn't get anything done in San Francisco I'm glad they stayed in the Bay Area.

Fuckin' York. Like that bonus was gonna hurt the overhead. York is the bitch. Not the player. The players association has done a shitty job negotiating. The players cared more about fighting for less practice with pads, over guaranteed money. I guess the OG's in charge DID take too many shots to the head.... If anything this ugly start might give the 49ers a false sense of worth. They really lucked out that their mistakes didn't end up as points on the board. Let's see how SF does against teams who can stop the run and force Kap to make plays. Kap looked like more of a GAME MANAGER then Alex Smith.

At least the Vikings aren't as weak as the Rams. I have no doubt that the Niners are teetering on disaster, but at least they did what they should be doing, beating weaker teams. Although the Vikings were ranked quite a bit higher than the Niners in the week 1 power rankings.

People fail to realize how smart Trent Baalke really is at evaluating defensive talent. As long as he's with the organization the defense will finish top 5 barring injuries of course. What makes this situation so dangerous for other teams is that everyone has counted this team out... they say because of the offseason granted it was an awful one we would lose all games by 50 points. Pro football focus actually had the Vikings winning yesterday 10-30 lol. People fail to realize how many pro bowlers are still on the roster and how many young talented players are on the roster. It's just one game but they looked really good and they came out with a bunch of energy and you can tell they were actually trying to win. Oh and slowback let the trash talking begin sucka.

Did you watch the Raider game? It wasn't a game it was an ass whoopin... The red rifle went in there and looked like Aaron Rogers. Did the Vikings play bad or did the 49ers defense just play that well? I think its the ladder. The Defense was all over Bridgewater and Peterson had zero lanes to run through. Bowman looked like the same old Bowman and Lynch made everyone forget about Alldone Smith. The raiders will not even win half as many games as the niners at the rate these two teams are going.

QB was a bright spot for yesterday's game. Kap did complete a seemingly game winning drive until our defense lost it. It's the defense which is sucking the most out of every game and that has a lot to do with the roster turnover and mangina the new defensive coordinator. They should have never let Fangio go.

Yeah man Archy use to tell me I was crazy when I said Kap's way of playing/winning would only work for so long. Run first QB's don't last in the NFL. Archy aslo said I knew nothing about football cause I said Kap had a slow release and didn't know anyway to throw the ball but hard. I see your point, Alex smith was a great qb and Game manager. Just wish he took more risks, but lets face it i think we were headed to the playoffs with or without alex smith that year. Kap was fresh and brought something new to the league and was successful while it lasted. Im sure most faithful niner fans will agree that Alex deserved to come back to his starting QB position. I like alex, glad to see hes still getting the job done in KC and i hope he does get his Ring ..just not this year lol

Alex Smith is garbage. I had to suffer through watching that bust play. Gabbert is Alex is Gabbert. Same player, same scared checkdowns, same game manager. We traded that for something fresh which didnt work, now we are stuck with another game manager who can't win.
Gabbert is 2 - 21 on 3rd downs in the past 2 games. Our defense handed him the Arizona game on a plate....but just like Smith...Gabbert is a bust.
QB Hell which will never be fixed as long as Jed York is running the team.

Yeah Smith sure has been looking like a checkdown bust as of latley hasn't he LOL. KC lost one of it's best players for the season and have won 5 in a row. Just look at the stats for yourself. Checkdown has over 250 passing attemps without an INT too.
Kap constantly put the 49ers D in bad spots. It's one thing to punt it away and play field position and it's another to fumble a snap on your 1 yard line with the game on the line...... Or throwing 2 pick 6's in less then 2 mins.... Or taking a shot on sherman with help over the top on 1st down.
At least Smith is smart enough to know when to throw it down the field.

I could care less about Kaep, he is not a fit for the 49ers...like ... at all. But Gabbert is just as bad, and Smith is still terrible. I suffered through too much of smith from 2005 on ... don't need any more of that joke (who will never win another playoff game, nor even remotely sniff a super bowl). These guys are like 1 step above Jamarcus Russel territory.

Yeah but he threw for almost 400 yards..... Yeah he fumbled, threw a pick and threw behind guys.... Yeah it was against a team giving up 30 points a game.... that was on the road and doesnt play well on grass.... Oh and they lost the game..... BUT Kap still threw for almost 400 yards!!!! Must have been that sweet cornrow job he had done prior to the game.
