So who's gonna be a hero & who's gonna be zero?
Not good for KC seeing Jamal Charles going out a few mins into the first quarter.

Should be some really good games this weekend. The 49ers Packers game should be a great game. Alex Smith & Luck are both playing well right now. Could be anyone's game today. [patriot]

Smith playing some damn good football today, glad to see him doing well!!

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

A combination of Alex Smith and his fast receivers playing well, and the Colts defense not showing up.. Has made a boring first game. lol. A lot of time to go but it's lop sided right now.

GB vs SF is going to be entertaining. Packers are much better than their record shows, having missed the franchise player for 7 games. Not to mention its in GB, in cold cold weather.. I know a lot of anylysts are favoring SF, some GB. But I'm nervous about it for sure.

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

That is a big bummer about Charles too. He was over 1/3rd of the total offense this year. [Eek!]

Posted by SLOWBACK 67 (Member # 6348) on :

I got a DIEHARD packer fan at work who WANTED a rematch against the 49ers. Should be a fun game to watch. This Saints / Eagles game should also be a good one.

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

I would want a rematch too. They have dropped the last 3 to SF. Two season openers in a row and last years playoff game.

They are a different team this time. They have a run game now. However 49ers are yet to give up a 100 yard rusher. Only team in the NFL not to this season. Kaepernick looks sharp late this season, and ready for the post season again. Will be a good game no doubt.

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

I like the Eagles to win this one. What do you all think?

Posted by SLOWBACK 67 (Member # 6348) on :

KC's D needs to step it up or they are gonna loose this game. They need to finish.

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

Their D is very mediocre. I said it all along. Against good offense they cave. Still some nice turn overs today though.

Both teams have no defense today.

Zamn I'm listening to it on the radio this is some shit! LOL

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

Well. KC is a ZERO! How do you blow that lead? How? Holy shit.

No it wasn't. He played above and beyond. I mean, HORRIBLE defense from Indi secondary helped him do that but still, he played pretty well.

Well needless to say I'm upset. If KC didn't have bad luck, they wouldn't have any luck at all. I lost count how many players were injured on both teams. It really sucks seeing KC go out like that.
Better luck next year. [patriot]

I think that teams that have a better record should have homefield, this worst recoed has homefield is bullshit, NFL needs to take their head outta their ass

They were unfortunate with all those injuries. Charles and Flowers being the big ones. Smith missed a TD pass. Just overthrew the most open receiver ever outside the numbers. But that's kind of his knock. Inability to throw consistently outside the numbers. He still played well.

I said he had a great game. But if he could have thrown outside the numbers on one wide open play, it would have been over. When you lose that kind of lead, its a team effort. [Wink]

Alex Smith had an amazing 1st half. His 2nd half numbers weren't so great. Charles going out early in the game definitely wasn't good for KC. But, KC's last two scoring drives ended in field goals. Typical Alex Smith, can get you close, but never seal the deal.

I put him in the same category as Romo, Cutler and Palmer. They're good enough to win enough games to give you hope, but always let you down in the end. Their middle names should be, "Next year is our year."

Also, I think it's funny when people say it's not Smith's fault for losing, but then congratulate Luck for winning. Luck threw 3 INTs and still won.

Well KC manage to score over 40 points without their starting RB. Then the second string RB goes out, then Donney Avery goes out, then the Defence starts going out. Smith threw 4 TD's no INT's. You can't put this loss on Alex Smith. In no way was it remotely his fault for KC blowing a 28 point lead in the 3rd quarter.

When the Colts RB cough up that ball and it bounced into Lucks hands..... I knew it was just like Baltimore last year..... They got all the breaks. [Frown]

No matter who gets hurt, 28 up with 27 minutes to go should never be lost.

I seem to remember a game or 2 the 49ers lost was due to lack of playmakers..... So I'd be carful what you say next especially with your game not even started yet.

Posted by Arch (Member # 5177) on :

What the fuck are you talking about? When in the last 5 years have they blown a 28 point lead? One thing I know is if we go up 28, it's game over. That's pitiful. 49ers win or lose, won't lose like that.

KC defense sucks.

It's going to be hilarious when all of you guys feel stupid when the 49ers don't win. Congrats. You won your wildcard game, now you got to play another well rounded team..... That has beat you this season. The 49ers are going to need to play even better to win it all. I just don't see them winning it all.

So do they spot you 10 points or something if you beat the other team in the regular season? Oh wait they dont. So what is Cam Newtons playoff record? Playoffs vs regular season arent even on the same level and we've seen Kaep rise to the occasion more than once in the playoffs to win on the road, to beat teams with better records and to win NFC championship games on the road too. We aint scared. Alex Smith isnt even allowed to play football anymore this season, u mad bro?

How are we going to feel stupid? If they lose. Oh well it happens. But you have said the dumbest shit all year. "49ers will miss the playoffs". "Kaep can't get it done". "It's his throwing motion". "Another loss for SF". Even tho we had more wins than KC. And KC has the undisputed easiest schedule. What good team did KC beat? More than one? Less than one?

I guess we would feel stupid for sticking with our team? Is that what you are saying? Not my fault you jumped ship with some mediocre QB to some mediocre team that went one and done. That's the ultimate crap playoff appearance. One and done. Was up 28. Losers.

with more receiving threats back, the panthers can't load the box with 8+ like last time and expect a good outcome in their favor.

A bye week is great but playoff momentum and playoff experience goes a long way...

You're acting like Alex Smith lost the game for KC. I didn't see Smith out on Defence LOL. Smith had an almos perfect game. Over 350 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, no INT's...... I have to look at it this way. Andy Reid and Alex Smith took a 2-14 team to the playoffs the first year together. They did something no other team has done before. I think they are only going to get better with a whole offseason together, making changes, picking up new players. The future looks bright in KC.

As for Kaeprnick. He didn't have that great of a game. His legs got him out of trouble a lot. Clock management continues to be a problem on offense. He tried to force a lot of balls and got very luck breaks on a few. I think he's got a lot of help around him that makes him look and play better then he really is. Had Kap been in the same situation Smith was in yesterday, I don't see Kaeprnick mentally being able to overcome those odds. He get flustered way too easy when things don't go HIS way.

Just my .02

Fuck your .02. If you knew anything, you would know that Alex contributed to the loss. He was apart of the TEAM. You know nothing about the game. You show it over and over with terrible predictions and analysis. Kaep made it happen in one cold fucking place. On the road in greenbay. Another playoff win for Kaep. How many playoff wins does Smith have? Losing record in the post season you know..

Salary cap reasons. They thought Boldin would be a better receiver to have. I would have to agree with the front office.
