After stepping away from the car thing for a few months, I just finished up dropping in the fresh 331 back into the coupe. I had to completely rebuild it. But now its back on the road & better than before. Just got back from a 2 hour long maiden voyage. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time. Looking forward to getting this thing back on the track. Just gave her a bath so tme for some pic whoring.

That's kool. I'll never have something like that with my dad he hates Fords N well I rather not have anything to do with corvettes. That tunes does sound like a good idea tho. lol

Nice! I love seeing other folks take it to the track for some action. A lot more play time than getting 4-5 10-14 sec runs at the strip, LOL. Hope you're using other tires on the track instead of those KDW's though haha. I just picked up a C5Z again which I'll be prepping for track use, I think I'll be going with R888's or RS-3's the first time around.

Hope to catch you around T-Hill or Sonoma - Laguna!

Yup Hoosier slicks mounted on real Cobra R's. Really light set up.

It has a GT bumper for the fog light holes. Running a Agent 47 brake duct kit to keep the Brembo's cool

Car's lookin great like always Jay. But what failed that made you need a whole new rebuild? You probably had less than 1k miles on that thing!

Cam gear & dizzy gear got mangled. Not sure why, it might have been due to the oil pump being set on the high setting. I didn't even know it was adjustable. Oh well live & learn. Had the crank polished due to a few small nicks & replaced all the bearings. Now running bronze gear with different oil with zinc. I'm gonna get it dynoed again because it seems faster than it was. 1st gear is worthless lol, 2nd & 3rd gear are pretty nasty.

Thanks, I will say that it looks better in pics than in person. Plenty of flaws inside & out. But this is no show car

Take it to the track! You'll probably want to "learn" that car and all that power on street tires before trying to push it/yourself on slicks. [Wink]

Yeah, the only thing is you really have no traction with the street tires. Hard to accelerate without spinning them. Feels like driving on ice till in 4th gear.

Cast cam with steel gear? Or vise versa.. who knows.. just a thought. Either way I'm glad its back on the road.

I know what you're saying, but that's what I feel you should/must learn: How much throttle to apply WITHOUT sliding everywhere. Just my two cents though... [Wink]
