Currently have Direct tv however the past couple months it has gone to shit. (Bills amount increases with no additional things added and we lose channels unexpectedly )

I have Comcast... it blows donkey balls too! It always starts off at a good price and for some strange reason I have to call every month and ask why it keeps going up. I would like to ditch all cable and keep my 150 a month. I personally like Comcast way better than dish though..

I have U-Verse for the first time ever after having both of the others. So far I am very happy with the service but I am only 7 months in. I am not sure how the rates will change but like all the others, I am sure it is inevitable.

if you have comcast, just say you would like to cancel service because its too expensive and you cant handle the payments...comcast will lower your payments on the spot to keep you as a customer

I've had them all. They ALL suck. The one that sucks the LEAST is comcast.

Exactly, just have internet plus this. Cut the cord completely and no longer feel the squeeze for a shit load of channels i can not watch nor give a crap about. There is soon to be a day where everything will be a la carte and streaming which will obsolete cable. Cable is the next blockbuster video IMO

Fuck cable company's man there are fuckin lairs and they say they compete against each other BUNCH OF BullShit we went to all of them same old strategy they pull off, bump the price outta nowhere.
Just pure Monopoly

I've had them all, but for the last 4 years I've had uverse and it has been great. They may not have the fastest internet speed but I get what I pay for so I can't complain. The price does go up about 4 or 5 bucks every couple of years but it's expected.

All 3 are probably good for cable, but only Comcast and uverse offer internet to my knowledge and Comcast is the best for internet imho. Uverse is horrible and way more easily tracked If you download illegally. Lol

I would never hang some goofy ass dish off my house. I've had uverse for about 3 months. I like the tv layout better than comcast but comcast internet is by far the best. Nothing comes close.

imma comcast tech and all imma say is they all suck when it come to price lol unless you work for them like me.....but if you want the lesser evil comcast is better internet wise and all cable is comparable......i like not having to worry about dish interference n shit tho and att has not fixed there million issues with there services(depending on your area in the run)

Funny how no one knows about xbmc. Android's gbox is just like a jailbroken appletv. Check out youtube videos on gbox mx2 and you will know. $97 on amazon lol. This has replaced free satellite.

Have Apple TV plus 100Mb internet and antenna on the roof. Basically get free HD (CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, etc..), 7.99 for HuluPlus (lots of shows from broadcast and some cable TV usually a few hours after live broadcast) , and 7.99 for Netflix. And I borrow a family member's HBO Go account so I watch all the HBO I can handle on my Apple TV. I have a Bluray player that has Amazon Prime Video which for the most part mirrors Netflix so I don't watch it that often.

Not a big sports fan but the occasional game I can usually catch on broadcast TV. $16 a month is A-ok in my book. [Wink]

Why pay for huluplus and netflix when you get 1channel and mashup for free

Also if they don't do it immediately or deny you, set a cancellation about 2 weeks out.

Your account then goes to an account retention department and their job is to keep you as a customer which means cheaper service.

Uverse all the way..... Don't know anyting about DirectTV but I hate compact. I have had nothing but proplems with them in two homes, changed to Uverse and love it

I have Uverse and like it but then again I get an employee hookup cause she works there. It amazes me how Dish Direct basically all these companies charge so much it's crazy my buddies Directv bill is like $150 bucks a month that's a shitload of cash for some tv! These companies are getting over on all of us.

Luckily for me I don't watch tv that much [Razz] , but I am thinking of cutting my prescription from Comcast and just using their internet (cutting tv services) and just going with an OTA antenna..still should be able to pick up quite of few HD broadcast channels and if there is anything I really want to watch I can go the "shared" route and my .avi/usb compatible dvd player.

Soon there will be a news story about how we used to have to pay for all sorts of channels under cables guise as a bundle when all we really want to pay for are the channels we actually watch. What a concept

Remember how we used to pay for movies?
