Is anyone building a low budget race car strictly for the track?
If you are , what are your plans and goals?and what is your budget?
I'm building one with a friend and plan to be done early next yr, it will be a strip car only

My standard is pretty low,but I'm interested in any builds really. I want to know what people pay more attention to, motor or suspension or both ,and how extreme ,and on what budget .

My old setup was cheap, went 9s with $6K with spare parts, now my new setup is taking forever and I am afraid to say what I am spending

the first thing you need to do is establish what your budget is. then work backwards from there

I know it's fun to build, but you should at least look at the option of buying a turnkey race car or something that's 75% done. If you build a race car from scratch, plan on getting 50 cents on the dollar if you're lucky when you sell it. Been there done that.

To late for that and I know about selling the parts or car and not getting your money back,if I cared about getting my money back I wouldn't be into the car hobby to begin with,,,
.. John we don't have a set budget

You'll have to wait till it's done to see a full build thread, but I'll throw a little sneak peeks on facebook N instagram.

Only problem with buying one done is that it's probably not done right and they didn't know what they were doing when they built it, very rarely you will find one built right and cheap, I have bought a few and parted them and I couldn't believe what I found when I took them apart.

Hopefully quicker than before once I figure out how to spool it out of the hole.

I have plans on building a purpose track car in the near future. My buddy is building a track/drift only 240sx. I want to build a spec Miata or something of that nature.
