Just want to shine some light on used tires, not knocking LXJames or anyone elses hustle.

Used tires, that are old in age (5+) years usually, I consider (3+) getting up there in age.

Are prone to cracking sidewall cracking, as these tires sometimes sit on shelves and dry out.
- These can't be flat-repaired because most places won't touch them.
Dry tires will wear faster. (5+) year old tires will wear easily 2x the rate as tires that are fresh off the assembly line.

Most tires that are older than (10) years old, can't legally be sold as per DOT Specifications.

 -

Above link is a quick refresher for newbies.

I understand new tires are expensive, and most people don't have those funds at their disposal.

You can Apply for a line of credit at Americas Tire, Firestones, Tires Plus, Wheel Works, Any other big name company will have this.

THEY PRICE MATCH! Do that, they will even price match TIRERACK which is notorious for cheap tires.

Alternatively, to wrap this segment up. You can always buy cheaper tires that are brand new from Tirerack.com, and have them installed (Mounted + Balanced)at an above mentioned place for around (12-16$) a tire.

I work for big o not a corner liquor store that sells rims and decenti/sunny tires lol. We stock house brands can order just about anything and we don't sell used tires over 8 years old and if its a Michelin we won't even want to keep it unless its fresh. Most of our used tires come from all of antiochs dealerships who have to put 4 brand new tires on their used cars before selling it! So a car with 4 good 2 yet old tires comes in gets 4 brand new ones we now have 4 matching 2 year old uses tires. But I already talked to silly lx ill try to help him out

I work at Americas Tire in Antioch. Like mentioned above, I will price match ANYONE. I guarantee the best deal out there, as well as service and warranty. We use brand new Hunter balancers and properly maintained equipment, and employ properly trained technicians to utilize these tools. If you would like it done right the first time, let me know. Depends on how busy we are, typically under 45 mins. If you have an appointment, you jump ahead of the line. If were completely dead, under 20 mins.
