Ok so from what it seems I have a blown head gasket. Car at the moment has trick flow intake e cam and shortys. Ran damn strong for what it was. Ran 13.5 at 105 with stock gears and street tires... Now the intake and cam I'm going to get rid of going with a rpm2 and not too sure on cam yet. I have sitting around some windsor sr heads. Not sure if I should get them ported and use them or sell them and get trick flows or afr 185's (which ill have less cash for other things). my budget is around 2k. What would you guys do mod wise with 2k?

What a coincidence I blew my head gasket(s) this passed weekend.

Those are 2.02 1.60 right?? I would run the rpm2 with world sr heads and tfs 1 cam.

Lol mine blew like 5 months ago. I've been living in Mexico for a few months and just want to plan everything out so I can start building again.

I'm trying to stay away from tfs cams and ford cams. I'm leaning towards a comp cam or just fork out the money for a custom grind. I want to pull some decent revs out of it. Goal is low 12's n/a. And yes they are 2.02 intake valves

O ok, ever think about anderson camshafts? Comp is always a great option.

Yeah was looking into them. They make some good grinds, but had me thinking for 5-10 bucks more I can go custom.

sell ecam.

put stock cam back in..

keep the TF intake for now

put in windsor sr heads that you have.

buy S-trim and fuel stuffs...

make over 400RW

all for around $2,000

better than any HCI package you can get for $2,000

I did this with my old coupe but had a custom ground cam...which was already around...and make 420RW with simple items like a 255 pump and 26 lb injectors...no tune...BTM and fuel pressure

I thought about that. I just don't know if I want to stay with my nitrous or not. Being supercharged would be nice for once.
Edit: car already has 24lb injectors and a 255 fuel pump. I know injectors would have to go.

P.S... I would retard the stock cam 4 degrees and run 1.7 rockers....

pretty deadly combo with those windsor heads and a blower...

nitrous is nice but annoying to fill the bottle at times and dangerous too...I used to be a huge fan of it....but always having 400RW sitting around is muuuch nicer

36s or 42s are easy to find nowadays

one of my favorite combos was RPM heads, RPM1 intake...stock cam 4 degrees back with 1.7s and an s-trim @ 10 psi....with 3.73s in the rear...plenty or torque and top end for the street...

very simple combo to put together too...around $3500 MAYBE into something like that when done correctly and still makes ~450Rw with a good SCt tune and some methanol....drive and idle like stock and with SQ trim...kind of a sleeper

I used to Dd that combo too...with the T56 I had in it..got 22-24 mpg and put a ton of miles on it...I would do it again in a heartbeat because it still passed smog too..just needed to swap out the h-pipe

That's my next move a t56... Yeah I'm leaning towards the supercharger and windsor heads now since I have them already.

Have you ran those heads yet?

Posted by blkfoxbody89 (Member # 8361) on :

No sir, bought them for my dart but decided not to as they would be the bottleneck in my setup. So I'm going to swap my performers out for these sr's now on my stock block.
