Looking to purchase a 5 spd, I know quite a bit about the specs, but would like some real experience opinions about them. this will be used as a daily driver, occasional track time (1/4 mile), vacation trips, and ofcoarse running it hard daily [Big Grin] . Thanks!

Drive my 04 mainly on the weekends, longest trip has been 250 miles. The seats make it more comfortable.

currently have an 03 and I don't have much to complain about except the fact that I can't afford to do some serious mods to it.

But I say if you're looking to get one, have a reputable shop go through it with a fine tooth comb. compression test, leak down test, make sure if there's any leak, that it's to a minimum. good luck!

Owned one since 2003. Love it, but don't drive it much
just went over 20000. I have had no major problems.
Its a mustang so it will develop a rattle, center console, my
trannys been a bit notchy, but other than those minor things
its been awesome.

Pros: it's a 03-04 mach 1.
Cons: it's not an 03-04 cobra.

I was looking at them a while back and they seem to had solid reviews when new and even now as a top pick for cheap powerful daily driver. If you like it, buy it. Found this comparison review between the cobra and Mach 1. If you want boost, go hit up summit.

con's
it's not a cobra (03/04)

Thanks for all the info guys, very helpful. I actually went and test drove one today http://m.cars.com/mcs/projects/cars/car_info.xdime?paId=113473232 very nice car in person, low miles and felt as solid as it should. After driving one, I think I will wait for an 03-04 cobra instead. Nothing against the mach 1, I was just not as impressed as I thought I would be. I've driven gt's and a few modded and stock 03-04 cobras and for my situation, I think I will wait and pay a little more for a cobra.

No real cons except the connecting rods and They're pretty expensive to mod. ( compared to a 289/302, anywho )
