Prepare to be disappointed.

Although TJ serves it's purposes for giving kids under 21 a place to party and drink without much fuss, it's dangerous, unclean, drinks are watered down in most establishments, and there are lots of opportunists looking to take advantage of drunk people from across the border.

If you want to experience Mexico at it's finest, you will have to go beyond the border towns.

At an absolute minimum, go a little more south into Rosarito where things get a little bit safer, the drinks have a little bit more alcohol, and there's a little bit less scum-bags looking to take advantage of tourists.

I've been to TJ twice as a college kid during my time in So-Cal and will never return to TJ under any circumstances.

Enjoy your time out there. .I just came back from rosarito two weeks ago..my mom owns a house down there so am out there alot..as far as partying rosarito is better then tj and cleaner too

Not true..I never bring my passport and I been there 5 times this year alone. ..it all depends on the border agent but ultimately they will let you in

I'd never waste my money to go to Mexico period. Everyonme i knew that vacationed there said its like a 3rd world poverty country.

Sheeyit, all u need is a mexican homie and u won't get taken advantage of. A lil game goes a long way.

I made it back lol. We got searched at the border because the supid dog went crazy when he got near my car. They searched it for 5-10 min. Dumped 4 of my tequila bottles. They did not give me a hard time about only having a birth certificate and my license.

While in tijuana. I went to la revolution (main strip) I went to Adelitas,hong kong and pulgas.Hong kong is the shit the strippers are pretty hot. Pulgas night club was the biggest night club I have ever gone to. I also went to playas (beach).

Don't believe the news tijuana is not dangerous at all I was out an about drunk as hell til 5am both days. Paying off a cop for breaking the law is pretty dope lol.

Yeah it was my understanding you are required to have an actual passport now to visit Mexico..... Unless your Hispanic then you get a free pass both ways. [Eek!]

I also heard you need a passport fuckin bullshitters i really wanted to go too when i was in sd. i thought you were allowed to bring alcohol over but only two bottles
