Anyone know some less expensive places to have a set of tires mounted and balanced ???preferrably in the eastbay area (vallejo(rich ,pablo)or maybe even marin or east county? Toscalito wanted to rip me - 80 for 2, sears wanted 50 for 2. I'm aiming for more like $25 for 2....

I'm biased seeing as I work at Americas Tire, But most shops are small for a reason. They suck at what they do. They cant balance worth a shit, and most of em sell fucked up used tires I wouldn't use for a tether ball pole. If you have tires you want to be installed on your vehicle, its $16 per wheel mounted and balanced THE RIGHT WAY. Any Americas Tire/Discount Tire store.

Short answer, Yes. You can probably get a 215 on there. It will look dumb as hell though.

I thought it was 10mm in either direction ,safely.so if it starts at 245mm wide you can go 255 or 235 and be ok.

My guy charges 10 a wheel for mount and balance here in sac... Don't matter what size or type of wheel or the type of weights your car needs ... Small tire shops = small overhead, mounting a tire and balancing it isn't rocket science ..

I think walmart is pretty cheap, but the tire must be a certain tread depth for them to legally mount it.

25mm equals 1 inch. U don't want 225 on there unless u want the stretch look. Unless u go 45 series it's gonna look stretched

no as bad but it will look similar. if you really want to go 225's and dont want the stretch look, you can go 45 series and it wont stretch as much but will look too tall imo.
