So I ordered subframes on Monday N according to tracking it says they'll get her on Monday 12/3/12. So what I need is a shop to get them installed, please closer to Redwood City the better don't really wanna travel far with subframes in the back of my car.

Should've just went with Precision Fabrication's setup... better quality and pricing all in one package.

I went with MM subframes. Plus I didn't wanna drive all the way over there.

If you're talking about Meineke Lupe, then yes, if say go to him since you want to stay local in redwood city. He's a cool ass dude and knows his shit. [patriot]

Yeah I know he put in my torque boxes. I would take it to him again but since he knows me he'll end up having my car at his shop for like 2 days just to have it sitting there for 90% of the time.

I might give him a buzz tho but only if he's gonna give me back my car the same day.

They don't just do exhaust there? You know how much they'd charge?

I would go to a well know shop to have subframes installed... That's one part you don't want done wrong... Traveling an extra 20 miles or paying an extra $50 is worth it to me.

I know I don't like to half ass my car kuz then you end up doing things twice. I'm still weighing my options by posting this earlier than the stuff would get here. [patriot]

Yeah kuz I don't like leaving that sumbitch out alone. If it were guaranteed to not get stolen I'd drive it anywhere, fucker.

Well I still haven't got these fuckers installed. [Frown]

Once they're installed you'll be like "Damn, why didn't I do this a long time ago?"

What did maier say?

Posted by SLOWSN95 (Member # 8269) on :

^^^ Maier is also one of the best shops to go to.. probably closer to you as well. One of my best friends is the production welder there and his welds are picture perfect. Either shop is a good place to go (Precision Fab or Maier).

mike with maier is awesome if u don't wanna travel an extra 30 minutes.

This is true, they do make a difference that you can feel . I had my Kenny Browns sub frames welded in up at Johnny Franklin's Mufflers in San Rafael. They did it for $40 and took like 30 min to do.It looked pretty easy too.

If your boy takes two days to do it just drop it off for two days and stfu. Don't you have another car or something to get around?

Nope. I daily drive my fox rain or shine.

Any muffler shop with a drive on lift and a half decent welder can install a set piece of cake.

Btw I've herd maier doesn't use drive on lifts

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/terminator-talk-229/730031-just-got-my-maier-racing-subframe-connectors-installed-pics-inside.html

if you put a convertible foxbody on jacktands on the frame on each corner you wont even be able to open the doors from the flimsy chassis

The vert already has subframes, just no motor or tranny. lol

I'll be talking to Lupe on Monday for shure about installing them I need to stop beating around the bush.

Posted by NEIGHT (Member # 8741) on :

Ok so any more suggestions? I went to Lupe N well yeah he's charging me the same price he charged me to put in my replacement torque boxes. So I don't think I'll be going with him way too much.
