My 4 has been good to me and I'm sticking with AT&T. But I will upgrade to a 5 just because of the LTE compatability.

Pfff... Muthu fukn LG Motion 4GLTE 50 bucks a month no contract no cap on data forever. 1.2 GHz dual CORE processor 1080p video. All for under 200$ out the door. I'm cheap tho, but this phone is the shit. Everything happens instantly, videos, music..whatever. Never even have to go wifi. Fuk it's so quick that I can make my phone my own damn hot spot. It's great!

I do have a gripe about the BS they feed people. Right from advertising page on verizon's homepage.

The world's most advanced mobile operating system is featuring years old technology as cutting edge. It's like saying the new 2014 mustang will be cutting edge making 500hp from the push rod 302. In their defense Android just now, with Jellybean, made a stable OS out of the box.

They also claim "ultra fast wireless" as a bold selling point? Seriously? Your wireless speed is only as fast as your source. If Ford had Apple's team it could claim ultra fast muffler bearings and high performance windshield fluid.

I would get the 64GB and sell the iphone on CL or ebay in a few weeks for top dollar. I don't think AT&T gives very much for trade ins. Gotta wait until after the flood of upgrades are finished to sell on cl or ebay. Apple has the best resale value of any consumer product I could think of and your "old Iphone 4" will still fetch a good chunk of change. My guess is that an iphone 4s will still sell for $300 bucks.

I preordered through Verizon and I had to give up my grandfathered unlimited data plan and 5000 texts. I did some research and it turns out I wasn't using even a GB of data and texts were lower than 500. I bet this is going to piss off a lot of people though.

Been with at&t since 07 got tired of my bill going up and up with Verizon had sprint the service sucked and so did the customer service.. But if you like glitchy phones like droid phones , go ahead . It don't matter what features or brand you have , it's all the same shit .After a month of owning a droind shit slows down phone gets real glitchy ,battery life sucks balls , and there as big as a tablet these days , not only that ,but the resale sucks too .Hate all you want on the iPhone but it's the industry leader, every damn phone is compared to the iPhone point blank! when the first iphone 4 came out what droid was everyone raving about then? Bet they aren't raving about it now like I am about my old ass 4 and guess what I can still post my damn 2 yr old phone and get almost what I paid for it on CL or eBay for $300 what droid can you do that with? I called Verizon and told them I was upset about losing my grandfathered data. She told me since I transferred the upgrade from another line, I was able to keep the unlimited data. This made my day. Now I can't wait for my new phone.

Verizon made it so if you have the grandfathered unlimited data plan and you wanted the subsidized price of the apple phone, they will not let you keep the grandfatherd unlimited plan . I think they did this because all carriers don't make much of anything off selling iPhones, so by making you change your unlimted plan they will make money on changing your plan ,by prorating the bill, and also since you will now be on the phone more, using more data you'll be more likely to go over. so now they will be able to charge overages if you go with a small data plans and if you'll want to change to a larger plan they will make $20 more then the old $30 unlimited old plan ...

Verizon is basically not honoring grandfathered unlimited data. I just happened to find a loop hole so they are letting me keep it. Typically you have to buy the phone at full price in order to keep your grandfathered unlimited plan for iPhone 5 for Verizon. I heard AT&T decided to keep the grandfathered data in order to keep customers. I honestly was thinking of going to sprint but AT&T and t mobile don't get good reception at my house. Verizon has been the best so far.

I don't see anything wrong with the iphone, but if you already have a 4/4s I don't see the big reason why you would want an iPhone 5 when it is really not that much improved over the previous versions (for the poster that said you already have a 4 I know what you mean). If you are starting out on your first smart phone then yes..the newest iPhone would be good, but from a 4/4s..well..I think you just need to buy something..much like my wife who thinks $4k purses need to be bought every Christmas for herself.

Iphone users will want to upgrade to Iphone 5 just for 4G/LTE support. It's a huge difference in speed. But I do agree with your logic and honestly, the 4s SHOULD have came with 4G/LTE support.
