I went to a Gaints game 2 weeks ago and I saw and sat by many Banwagon Fans. They had no clue what was going on.

That's the one thing about this whole deal I don't like. I've heard just parking alone is gonna be way worse. Like 50-100 bucks just to park.
I'll buy a dope ass TV and watch the game at the house. I'll probably go to a game someday at the new park..... But I'd love to go to the last regular game at candlestick. That will be a historic event I'll never forget.

SEATTLE -- A's pitcher Brandon McCarthy continues to make progress from brain surgery after being struck by a line drive, but team officials cautioned Friday that he is by no means out of the woods from a medical standpoint.

McCarthy got out of bed three times Friday and sat in a chair. He ate solid food and is able to speak. But A's head trainer Nick Paparesta stressed that McCarthy is still in a life-threatening state.

"Absolutely he is. He had brain surgery, it's life-threatening," Paparesta said. "At any possible moment something could go wrong. He could have a complication."

As the A's begin a three-game series at Seattle on Friday night, their thoughts were still very much with McCarthy, who was hit in the right side of his head by a line drive off the bat of the Los Angeles Angels' Erick Aybar on Wednesday.

He underwent surgery Wednesday night to relieve pressure on his brain from a epidural hematoma -- a build-up of blood between the outer membrane of the brain and the skull.

Doctors told Paparesta that the first two to three days after such a procedure are the most critical, as swelling around the brain can re-occur. Right now, the A's are cautiously optimistic.

"We definitely have some heavy hearts here," A's manager Bob Melvin said. "I don't think there's a guy on this team that's not close to Mac. The good news is it seems like each and every day he's getting better."

Went to the game last night. Good game, great way to end it throwing the runner out at 2nd. The fireworks were cool afterwards too. It was my son's first game and he loved it.

I was at the Wild Card clinching game, the AL West clinching game, and ALDS home games 1 and 2.. I have never heard the crowd this loud since the A's won 20 in a row.

I've got some info about bandwagon fans. The giants filled up 99.4 percent of their seats every game this year. BEST IN LEAGUE. Only people with more attending- the dodgers because the stadium is huge. They still only had 80% occupancy. The cardinals edged us out by a couple thousand because of an extra home game. Giants #3 in overall number. #1 in percentage. Then we go down to the 20s in the league and find the As. Even if this great season you still only get 20,000 fans a game and fill 60% seats. Pathetic. Talk about being the best fans? You don't even go to the games!!

And no matter how many you go to, you still only get 20K in that stadium. Sad. On a promising year too. Giants had a crap year, still fill it up all 81..

I'll be honest. The Oakland coliseum isn't the nicest stadium either. It smells like a locker room in the hallways..... But one thing that stadium has is a lot a great memories. Just like candlestick does.


When I go to an A's game I run into die hard fans who can name players who played almost 30 years ago. I go to a Giants game & I have people behinds me talking about work & everything BUT the game. To be honest. The Giants stadium is like a hangout spot for a lot of people. Not satin their isn't fans at the stadium, but a majority of the people I run into there would look at me crazy if I brought up a former player like Kevin Mitchell's bare handed catch. A lot of Giants newcomers haven't got a clue about the team except what number buster wears and the panda bear hats LOL.
