Looking for something bigger than a F150? I'd say Toyota is out since the tundra is a competitor to the F150..

Diesel or gas?

Dodge's only plus side to the trucks is its Cummins power.. A friend of mine got a 2012 2500 and it's nice and roomy with a quality interior.. But the F-series trucks are truly a level above the dodge in every way in interior quality. Not sure how fords new 6.7 diesel is doing in the reliability department, but it should be way better than the 6.0 and 6.4 Motors.

have you ever seen a 5.7L crew max long bed? 2wd with tow package? thats one big ass truck and resale will be better too, also the dodge diesal is beat in quality but not performance and it shows how many cummmings powered trucks are out there vs fords diesal?

Get a ford f250-350 09 an up 09 and 10 are 6.4l compound turbo which I think are the best ford engines made besides the stupid thermostat/radiator recall. Overall it's an awesome truck solid chassis as all the good features sync heated seats sunroof nav back up camera. The other truck I would buy is a 2011 and up gmc/Chevy with the newer version 6.6 diesel and the newer Allison trans with the manual option great overall truck chassis isn't as stout as the superduty when it comes to heavy loads. I like cummins engines they are proven but I don't like dodge the chassis is stout but everything else is cheap to me. All diesels from 07+ have the dpf system and the 11 and up have a revised dpf that uses an additive. I say go test drive all of em make up your own mind

I would say get a dodge diesel I'f your leaning torwards a diesel engine. I bought a 96 dodge cummins and I love it. But go and test out a Ford dodge Chevy and see what you like best and what fits your budget. I personally have had good luck with dodge trucks gas and diesel. Good luck bro [patriot]
