Anyone here use this or recommend it? I'm re-doing the entire motor before dropping it in.

And...

For a Kenne bell swap in the near future...what would you guys recommend if I reuse the block. (I.e: rods/piston/crank set up...600-700 range ?

Use stock gaskets, I've seen plenty of stock Terminator longblocks pushing 700-1000RW.

I'll do that then. So I could leave the stock long block as is? It's from an 04 and has 65k miles on it.

You should be good the way it sits

Yes it'll be fine

I would upgrade the pistons to a forged piston vs the stock ones. Just to be on the safe side.

The 03/04 Cobra pistons are made by a company called Zollner!
They are Forged, decent but not on the level of CP,Diamond, and Manley!

Factory gaskets are good

Does porting the heads and intake on an 03/04 cobra have any significant gains?

I've only used Ford gaskets on these motors, they work great and we've pushed over 700rwhp through them.
Here is one we are currently building.
A Livernois shortblock, with mild work on the heads.
It will have a KB with just about 12psi when assembled. Going in a 96 Cobra.
Using FORD gaskets and bolts(some are hard to get your hands on and the counter guys at Ford dont really know what they are doing half the time).

while you're in there I'd suggest replacing the timing chain guides.

If this was toward me, the guides, tensioners, and chains are all 100% brand new. Do it right the first time and there is no second guessing.

This is why I recommend upgrading the piston especially if you plan on 700rwhp plus. When I had my 03 that's what my plan was. In my current build on my 99. I have Manley pistons as I'm shooting for those power levels.
