Can someone point me in the right direction to fin some BLM land for outdoor target shooting? Im tired of shooting at the range and would like to get out into the mountains. I have looked online and i just feels sketchy. I would like safe spot with a berm. Anywhere within a few hours from the bay area thanks. If anyone wants to ride and show my friend and I the spot that would be cool.

Either panoche which is about 2hrs from san ho, there is Indian valley east of clear lake there is also cow mountain. For what its worth since Knox ville is closed for shooting we just go up to NV and shoot.also heard there are areas of Tahoe forest with back stops where folks shoot. Hope that helps

There is a spot north of Sac. Ask local sporting goods stores that sell hunting tags.
