im a lil disappointed and upset because i got a engine from a member on here which it was said that the engine had this and that done to it by a reputable shop, but after taking it to MY engine builder he discovered otherwise.....

before i put someone on blast im goin to try to get in contact with the member and see what his story is or if he can make it right for me but i just had to rant about this because u get told one thing and then find out another and now i feel like i wasted my money [BS flag]

Sucks, Hopefully he can make it right..as of now, its considered hearsay..always good to get things in writing so that if situations like this happen, he/she has no choice but to make it right..best of luck to you..keep us updated

What motor did you buy and what parts weren't there? We need more info, it's fine if you want to hold out on the name but at least enlighten us on the situation.

306 that was suppose to have comp lifters and and high compression forged pistons

looks like oem lifters and the pistons are speed pro hypereutectic low compression pistons part number h273cp

didnt really think about it, and the pistons were covered in carbon build up

my engine builder cleaned up the block and messaged me the part number

Oh I see, that's still dirty that the seller told you one thing then you found out different. If he didn't know what parts the block had he should have just been honest with you instead of lying about it, which it sounds like he was. Because there's a huge difference between hyper pistons and forged ones. I personally hate hyper pistons and stay away from em.

That's what I am thinking, how the fuck do you confuse hyper vs forged, fuck hyper pistons, can't boos, can't spray, can't do shiiiiet without worrying about detonation, just my .002 cents. lol

Whole reason I bought it cuz I thought they were forged with higher compression and I wanted to spray

Unless the engine builder lied to him all I know is that someone lied

I'm nate.ill keep this short and to the point.I was asked to look the motor over.its a standard nor 302 with speed pro hyper pistons stock rods with bolts and did not have comp r lifters.I have no idea what the cam is as I wasn't told to disassemble the motor.it however has a Balancer that was married to the rotating assembly.thus rendering the nice Sti Balancer that was intended for the motor useless and more then likely the customers flywheel would cause a out of balance condition.I'm not picking the motor apart just stating facts as I see them.also the married Balancer is of very low quality .good luck on the transaction with the seller hopfully he steps up and makes it right.

why would a liar/theif admit to the error and then repay the buyer?....which I am sure will happen...

if he doesn't then..yes...he would be the liar...

he might just be one of those guys that took someone else's word for the build when he first got the engine...and didn't do like 5Ltr and check it over before putting it all together..

I guess reason and trust escapes some people...they'd rather run through the town with torches after the "monster" first...

the seller didnt admit to anything. the evidence was thrown in his face, n theres really not much one can do when cornered. so he doesnt have much of a choice but to refund him unless he wants to really loook like a scumbag n be put on blast.

the only way he could clear him self of being a liar would be if infact somone told him it had those parts and He was just passing along the info

good thing about this us the seller is working with the buyer,i bet buy and seller were under the impression that certain mods were done and then it came to this,but hope it works out and by anymeans i dont think anybody is classifing the seller as a thief,a good seller returns the money and this seems to be the case good luck guys
