Last night a friend had his bike stolen right out of his garage in Antioch! It's a black 2008 GSXR 1000 with Yoshimura exhaust, license plate: 19W1688

Please let me know if you guys find anything!

He said his friend from the PD said that they might have had a scanner to open the garage. . .

These crooks do have these scanner tools that pic up frequencies for garage doors....I hope he gets his bike back...

I am always weery of leaving my garage open...So i always keep it closed, maybe paranoid...bc I hear this all the time, and hear people getting stuff takin right out of the garage and homes...i recommend a survailance camera, which isnt too expensive to obtain and install... I have 5 cameras on my house hidden, bc some fool kicked my side gate where one of my track bikes where...luckily my rottie was hungry, and was ready to nab who ever, so they never made it in...too bad i wasnt home...he'd be parted out in the back...and his skull would be on my engine stand

there was someone on this forum who had a buddy that had there yellow camaro taken the same way...

Hopefully this bike comes back up...

I always unplug my garage door. It's inconvenient, but it makes sure these scanners don't work.

true! also another good one is to drill a hole in the door track and get a nice long pad lock to droop through it. even if they get in they will have to cut the lock in order to open it!

That sucks for sure but since it's a bike I guarantee it's been stripped and re installed on a different frame that's what them fools do.

Sorry to hear. I had my CBR 929 stolen 2 years ago, and it was heartbreaking. Hopefully he recovers it.
