Pros and cons hes giving me a good price 3k butttttt it holds a slavage title due to it being dropped. Last owner said its a special edition. It had a broken plastic but when my cousin got it. He got it fixed and repainted

3K not a bad deal, id drop it to 2500 and see what he says [patriot] play the whole salvage thing on him and make him realize your giving him a good deal [Wink]

For 3k ..... I don't know kinda so so if you ask me . You could find a clean title 05 GSXR 600 less all the bolt ons for 3k . Remember just because someone puts X amount of dollars into a vehicle/motorcycle does not mean that it is worth that X amount of dollars . That's just my opinion.

I don't know much bout bikes either but I've done my research on them and even though it salvaged its still a Hell of a deal cosmeticly and mechanically there is nothing wring with it. Except the fork seals but that ain't nothing... oh and the rotors are galfers or sonthing like that can't really remember.

if the bike was salvaged after a "drop" that must of been one hell of a drop!

got a pic? is this your first bike?

I would pass it seems you don't know how to ride really bikes salvage it's your life riding on it not his basically when you ride it's a lifetime you start with dirtbikes etc young ride whole life then move way up I'm very advanced and my 05 R1 still gets nasty on me and scares me sometimes been riding whole life jacket helmet gloves etc don't try look cool with those stupid vest and a tank top I'm sure everyone agrees

I'd buy salvage cars, but salvage bike at that price is retarded. Most I'd pay with that mileage is 1500-1800 max. Otherwise you can find the same deal with a clean title

I think you can get the same bike with a clean title for about the same price. if you dont really know about bikes, I'm assuming you dont really ride either...So those mods really shouldnt matter to you.

If you plan to keep it and have pics/info on the history of the "drop", then it may be OK, but i wouldnt trust any salvage titled bike without proof that it was indeed "minor." For all you know the frame/forks/subframe can be bent and you wouldn't be able to tell because you haven't really ridden bikes very long [patriot]

That and once they hit the ground, they never really ride the way it once did. EVER.

I know how to ride I started with dirt bikes and quads it ain't nothing new. And yes even if I go around the block I wear the jacket gloves and a helmet ...just Cuz I don't know info about bikes don't mean shit. Girls don't know shit about cars n they drive them ...also I do know it was minimum Cuz we know the previous owner. And I don't want it to look cool I want it Cuz I wanna try something new and not to pull stunts. I want it for work I don't need my tacoma anymore so y have it if I can have a bike 90% of the time I'm alone so y not ..one thing I do have is respect for these thing Cuz they will Fuck u over

Sorry I didnt pay attention to the salvaged title, I own a salvaged title bike an it runs absolutely perfect! But I would never pay full price, 05 is a good year those miles arent bad, I paid 4k for my 04 zx10r 11k miles clean title slip on an tuner went 9's. So you should def talk him down on price.

Posted by Brandonn (Member # 632) on :

That is to much money for a salvage title bike, on a bike mods mean close to nothing for the price.

Posted by NavidR (Member # 3164) on :

sounds like a nice bike, but I would say the price is too high, look around and well may be the price isn't bad... If your buying it to help him, well thats a different story!

My 04 gsxr 600.. Insurance salvages a bike out just by someone kicking them over trust me i have been around bikes. Galfer rotors are expensive. You can honestly right now get a 06+ from 4-6.

That's a clean as bike bro his is exactly Ike that but all black with no decals

A salvaged title is a salvaged title..price drops! I would offer $1900 and if he does not like it then move on (plenty of bikes out there right now). On a side note for those that already have bikes a secondary salvaged bike is great to bring along on track days [Smile]

Posted by vendicated_03gt (Member # 9815) on :

Jajaja is that sooooo.... then lets see these deals! Post them were they at? A lot of guys here saying there's plenty of them for half price but with no proof. Find me those deals in that year with those miles and locally I ain't tryna go to navada or Washington for a Damn bike

Posted by fredfifty (Member # 10320) on :

its your money bro, but a salvage bike is a gamble, unless its been in a frame shop and checked out with all paperwork proving it has...but afterall, its family so perhaps its all good...maybe.

fork seals going out usually indicate that thing was wheelied like a mutha..do your homework before you go at it on 2 wheels

Dont do it brah, wait til it starts raining a little. Weather has been good so there's not that many bikes for sale yet.
