Man i just got a 86 celica for my DD its crazy takes over 10 seconds to start im assuming timing is off its got a dizzy but any ways heres the other problem my car does not have a pcv valve i look and look nothing so with that said the hose connected to the valve cover to the throttle body it gets alot of oil in it, so im thinkin on puting a pcv vavle between the throttle body and intake to see if that fixs the problem the car runs good when its running and doesent smoke from the exhaust im baffled if you can help out lmk thanks ca fords

Best i can tell you is that the motor is probably high mileage and has a lot of blow-by.Thats why youve got oil building up in there.A PCV valve wont change anything. [Smile]

Is it EFI? I've seen that happen when the check valve in the fuel pump is going bad, it'll bleed the fuel pressure off into the tank and it has to build it back up before starting. Try cycling the key from off to the run position a few times before you try to start it, if it will fire right up then I'd say the fuel pump is the problem.
