This show is awesome!

But, wtf is this crap? They just left the CDC where there were soldiers all over with M16s, tanks, Humvees... instead of finding stuff at an abandoned highway, they should have grabbed all the weapons they could have scrounged from that area! What good is a single shot rifle for a herd of zombies?? Can't wait to see the next episode

Also forgot to mention, I like their idea of gun control

About to watch the next episode... show has been some what of a disappointment this season. It's moving to slow and focused too much on his son being shot

They should have kept going from where they left off and tried getting to where Shane was trying to take them in the first season.

What do you guys think?

I think Otis turns into a zombie and they find him and see the gun shot to his leg. Just my theory from the previews, Shane says something about "this is how we survive" so i think hes trying to justify his actions.

1. They took the blood test and they are all infected but "immune" somehow but will probably turn to zomebies when they die.
2. They are all immune totally.

Well, I figured it was about his wife being pregnant from the other dude.

Because in the last episode of season 1, they went to the CDC and had to take a blood test. So it would make sense that it had something to do with her being pregnant from the other dude.

But that's not really shocking and I remember reading somewhere that the whisper was supposed to lead into something shocking in season 2. So I think it's:

1. They took the blood test and they are all infected but "immune" somehow but will probably turn to zomebies when they die.
2. They are all immune totally.
3. Maybe his son actually isn't even his son. Maybe it's the other dudes from a previous affair. Now that would be pretty shocking. lol

Alot of shows go on break halfway thru the season. From what I've been told by someone who worked/works on tv shows It takes a while to film a full season tv show with this kind of production, not to mention if it starts to fall off viewer wise, they aren't stuck with extra shows that aren't going to be shown.
But it would have been nice if it could have been longer IMO.

I was watching the Talking Dead afterwards, and the director or whatever said that it was Shane's fault. Apparently, Otis was supposed to have been the one who captured the little girl and put her in the barn. Had he still been alive, Otis would have supposedly told the group about the little girl. I didn't gather that from just watching the show though.

And sad? I thought it was funny as hell! Dumb girl almost got Daryl killed!

I watched that too. The director was just assuming if Otis was alive he would have said something. I think the old man only knew of the people he knew from the town being in the barn not the randoms that wander in.

I am a fan of zombie movies, so I wonder if anyone else has ever noticed this. It seems these movies take place in a world where people have never heard the word zombie before or even know of the concept of zombies. It's always a shock to them when the dead are reanimated. Also, they NEVER use the word zombie, they always have some other term like walking dead or walkers.

I always thought it was weird.

we'll see how good it is,there is suppose to be a new director or writer for this half. guess the last one quit and left due to some cuts they kept trying to make on the show( which was the cause for the break) apparently they wanted to cut overhead which on a zombie flick is hard due to all the "extras" they need for zombies.

Ever notice how this season we have hardly seen any zombies? the hidding them in the barn was a brilliant way to cut down on over head. this is what I heard from my brother, sounds like it might be true but he has been known to me from time to time.

Probably the body isn't immune anymore to the air bourne virus but once you die it reactivates your body or everyone is infected it just needs a little more to make you into a zombie.

So did anyone else think Rick seeing his son there was more like a dream? His son raised the gun before Shane got up so was his son going to shoot him?

Once they pass on the virus takes over their body and they reimulate into living dead corpse. As far as Shane turning into a zombie so fast it varies amungts different people. Some turn in a couple hours, or a couple minutes. Carl was not pointing the gun at Rick, he may had seen Shane start to move and get up from the ground. But when the camera went back to Shane he was already up on his feet. Something along those lines. I think they'll explain it in the final ep of season 2.

There is a walking dead forum which has all the spoilers. I already knew what was going to happen since mid-way through season 2 till beginning of season 3.

As far as the details for Season 3, like the govenor, Michonne, etc. If anyone has read the comics... there is some info on that site.

Just google it cause I can't remember if there is a forum rule that disallows me to post a link to another forum..?

So IF you REALLY want to know what happens in the last episode and the answers to your discussion, go there.

I can't help but read the spoilers but for some reason, it doesn't really spoil the show for me.

I disagree, Shane lets his emotions run him just like Rick. Rick should have let that dude to die after shooting at him but his emotions got the best of him. Shane only cared about getting back together with Lori, those emotions ran him crazy. Shane would have killed everyone in the group if it was going to save himself, but in the situation their in they need each other to back themselves up.

Check out Amazon. I almost ordered the first volume the other day, but was told the comics are vastly different from the show. Presumably to keep the comic fans from spoiling the show for those who haven't read it.

After tonight's episode, I think I'm going to order it just to see who the Governor and Michonne are.

willit, if you search online there's pretty much cliff notes of what the comic book is about. I think there's a wiki somewhere for the whole ordeal too with character details.

I wonder how this show is going to go, but I'm laughing at Lori. Tells her husband that Shane is a threat, then goes off on him when he finally follows through with it

I like how this show has realism. It's almost as if it could be like this. If they are start getting off that track I don't know if I can get into it unless it sticks with the realism factor.

Anyone see, or play the walking dead game based on the NOVEL .on psn? Seems like an alrite looking game, gameplay is different, story plays out mostly based on your quick forced decisions you make. I'm not sure how expensive the thing can get seeing that you have to buy each episode.. but the demo is worth a try..

So they come into the prison shoot off 50+ rounds & the prisoners and people living inside didn't hear any of that?

Once they heard the initial shots fired they wouldn't have come out to see WTF was going on outside?

Maybe. But Penny wasn't bit. In the Governor's backstory she was killed (by bandits or something) and then she turned. This all happened way before they made it to Woodbury. He did like Michonne and kept her on a leash for a time.

My thinking of his losing it while making the list of inhabitants is that he still considers her to be alive. You caught a glimpse of it when he was combing her hair. I think when he was making the list and wrote her name, he came to the realization that she wasn't alive anymore.

Either way, I think the list is irrelevant to the greater story at hand. I think it's purpose was to expose Penny to an outsider (in the book only a small handful of people know about her existence). With Michonne roughly knowing about Penny, that puts the Governor in a bad position. You catch a preview of next week with Merle and Michonne fighting, so I would assume he was probably sent to kill her or something. Again, none of this paragraph I wrote is in the book, so I'm just guessing at the direction they're going with Michonne and the Governor. In the book, their meeting was way more sinister.

Carl has grown up A LOT since the last season. More power to him. I hope he is able to maintain his humanity yet deliver savagery as needed. I think he will become a better leader than his father, he's much better at keeping a level head.

Someone should have ambushed governor with scoped rifle. Carl would have taken care of business. The boy is becoming tougher and tougher, and has the potential to turn into a better leader than his father some day. In the comic books, Eugene is a faker. He made up the story and pretends to be talking on a sat phone to the government. He does this because he is weak and needs someone to save him and escort him to wherever they can find sanctuary.

These episodes are getting intense, I did not see that coming. What do you guys think about Terminus. I read some of the comics and in the comics there's a group of cannibals and I'm starting to think this Terminus place is not what they think it is. It might be a place to lure people for these cannibals to eat, but the comic and the show differ a lot.

I think its either a real place where shit won't be like it should, like you said some cannbals or a trap OR it WAS a real place but got over run by Zombies and doesn't exist anymore.

The season finale now seems a bit anti climactic. They have not built up the suspense of Terminus enough. I am not really looking forward to this season finale like I did Season 3. Plus, no characters outside of the 2 kids have died since the mid season finale which is stupid given their situation.
