So last year i found out by my doctor I had Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It's a heart disease that I was born with and it's the same disease that my dad passed away from two years ago. Now Ive been getting sick more and more the last year and my doctors say that If the treatments continue to fail i might have to go through surgury as soon as august.
It's called Septal myectomya a form of open heart surgery where they remove tissue off a muscle in the heart. Just curious if any of you guys know anyone personal who has been through this kind of surgery. I'm 22 so I'm just trying to get as much info as I can just in case I do have to do surgery

Sorry to hear about your dad, I know how that feels. But u are doing the right thing by informing yourself of the condition. It's always good to get a second opinion aswell if possible and if u do get the surgery find out good doctors that have done this before. Sequia hospital in redwood city has one of the best heart surgeon doc in nor-cal.

Damn, sorry to hear this shit. The main thing to remember is that Doctors do amazing things and advances in medicine assure you'll get the best care possible. If you know its a potential problem then get it taken care of asap, if health care changes anytime soon you might not get the chance to do it again.
