2006 Mustang GT. The car has been perfect up until last night when the check engine light came on under normal driving.

In Vallejo and if anyone has a Code reader that can help me out I'd appreciate it. I have an OBD II reader but I just get an error with this car... It reads fine on the 99 mustang and the neighbors Lexus. Text me if ya can thanks! 853-1734 in the 707.

If your not having any mechanical issues it might just be ea service notification. Like tranny flush or something like that

the cam phasers tend to have issues in the 05-06 3 valves more common in the trucks but have seen it in the mustangs.

I have gotten those codes a few times too and keep reseting them. From stuff I have read and from looking at my digittal volt meter when that happens it is most likely the alternator going out. If you go search themustangsource.com you can see most people there have not had issues after replacing the alternator.

Just an update, check engine light stayed off after a few hundred more miles... Hopefully just a temporary low voltage issue. The battery cables were not tightened down.

I had an 07 GT and the service light came on at 30k miles... Ford said that it just needed the 30k mile service...
