FINALLY got my dream ride. Its a 2005 CTS-V with 51k miles, & in immaculate condition. Needless to say, I'm in love with this beast.

Its already tastefully modded. Has a cam (228/232 duration. 111 LSA, 612 intake/600 exhaust), Full B&B exhaust from the 1 3/4 longtubes to the 3" x pipe & catback, electric cutouts, eibach springs, QA1 adjustable shocks/struts, 3rd gen diff upgrade,anti hop axles, cradle bushings, custom poly motor mounts, LS7 clutch, uuc shifter, & tuned by Newtech. For a 3,800+ Lb car, man this thing scoots, & rides smoothly in the process LOL... Im in love for sure....

I don't have any new pics, becuase my DSLR is down, but here are a few pics & vids the previous owner sent me...

Thanks guys... Like I said, I'm in love with this car, I already went through a tank & a half of gas in 24 hours LOL. I picked it up for $22k, but after tax & license, I financed $19,500 since I paid some of it in cash. I think its a killer deal & a hell of an upgrade. I doubt I will get tired of this one, the thing rides sooooo damn smooth, & its crazy how many heads it turns because of how gnarly it sounds. People trip out & say "man whats in that thing" because you would never expect a Caddy to sound this way LOL...

The car already has the right mods, I honestly don't think I will do anything to it at this point other than drive the hell out of it.Im sick of having cars that I always have to wrench on, or adjust this, or fix that, I just want a car I can get in & drive, & thats where this fits in the equation. It moves out good, & feels like it would've destroyed the Mach in a race. I can't remember, but I think he said it made around 400rwhp?

sweet, I almost picked up one of these back in 2002 after ford took my 01 cobra back as a lemon. But I opted to take the free upgrade to the 03. Sweet ride man. love it.

I was thinking it made over 400, but either way it doesn't matter, it runs hard!!! It is the same V you saw in the Brentwood area, I purchased the car from my buddy Sean 04, & his lady used to drive it as well.

Willie, What mach has been my thoughts exactly since I took the keys for this LOL...


Ian, thanks. I sold the Mach on friday for $11000. I would love to do some forged 20's one day, but I have yet to see anything that looks more at home on these cars than the stockers do. They look really clean in person & fit the car perfectly...

YES, I sold ONE of my mustangs to buy a 4 door Cadillac, but anywhere in this thread did a say anything bad about mustangs? I still own a 91 coupe, & I plan on keeping it, & I love Mustangs, I just needed something different. I didn't buy the CTS-V for it to be my racecar, I bought it because its the complete package of what I am looking for. It just so happens that the car is pretty fast & is decently modded...

Also, I'm not from the bay area, I'm from Sac...


On another note, please keep the arguing & bickering about this Ford vs. GM rivalry out of my thread, I respect any nice or fast car wether it be a Ford, GM, or a Hyundai for that matter...

Thanks to everyone that had positive feedback, all the brand loyalists get a grip, there is more to life than just mustang's. Do you fail to realize that I still own the epitome of a mustang, a fox coupe. If you liked my Mach so much more, you should've bought it when it was for sale, it was a steal of a deal....have a great day y'all....

Mustangs, in the majority, meaning, the majority on this site are piles of steaming dog shit. Some are fast and clean bit those are the exception. I've had 12 mustangs, ranging from beat foxes in my younger years and my 01' Cobra which I poured my paychecks into to make a car I could take to knots, be proud of and make 600rw. Nothing but the best parts ect. FORD OHC MOTORS ARE GARBAGE! now, backbto the topic.

OK GUYS, I really didn't want to see this thread go there, & apparently people always wanna piss on someone's parade so whatever. I don't agree with everything Red@7k said, but he has some very valid points. I don't think all Ford ohc motors are junk, but it does bug me that my heads had to be completely rebuilt on a 56k mile 300hp n/a car that cost nearly $30k & was babied??? It also bugged me that my motor sounded like someone was sewing a bill cosby sweater while it was running, even after the rebuild. Ask any 03/04 32v owner with an original factory motor if they have checked their compression recently, i am willing to bet they have low compression on the driver side & they dont even know it...

I guess I was envied when I had a car payment on a Stang, but I'm hated when I have a payment on a GM?

Damn nice car Dustin, that's a grown man car right there. Good for business & play. I have had the chance to drive a couple myself. Those cars are beyond comfortable and a blast to drive. Mustangs are cool but I like American cars in general. The main reason I got a Mustang is because they are affordable and fun to drive not because they are "the best car in the world" LMAO, people on this site crack me up.

Thanks man! I've had more Mustangs than most but the newest and nicest to drive was my '03 Mach 1. I've never had any of the "big dog" Mustangs like a Terminator or GT500 but my Fastback will qualify when its done.

As far as a primary vehicle, my family has outgrown Mustangs. My kids are 5 and 2... both in car seats. If Ford offered a fun, fast, V8, 4 door with a manual tranny then I would've considered it. Its a tough combo to find but the GXP was the perfect fit.
