better this happens than it jacking up my camshaft again like last time [Embarrassed]

*SO HAD MY BOY CHECK OUT MY CAR AND DOESNT SOUND GOOD AT ALL....MAKE SOME KINDA OF METAL NOISE, MAYBE SPUN SOME KIND OF BEARING AND CAR HAS NO POWER AT ALL!*

no, I bought that gear for that reason....the first time I had the original steel gear and ended damaging the cam, Shaun then told me to buy this polymer gear so that the gear would get damaged and no the cam.....I called cam comp cams and they said usually that gear doesn't get damaged thay quick and to send it in for replacement

You could try a brass one, its stronger than that plastic gear and still softer than the cam so it should last. I had one in the past and it held up really well.

on the distributor the middle core piece starts to make noise, run like shit, gets all loose and just goes out....

its a xe comp cam based cam so a lil aggressive but not really my valvetrain can handle it with what's done I just might throw in a bigger one lol.....ya ima save a lil and goin to AED

I'm kinda interested in the problem ur having,I'm guessing aed built u the motor and made u buy that dist.gear right?well I was told to get the same dist.gear due to my cam being aggressive to the valve train..I remember he said something about u having a similar problem when I went to drop my block off to them that's why he recommended I get that gear to be safe,well hope they help u out , not trying to have the same problem ya feel me..well shit man let's do that when ur ready and update that post when u find out the issue..I got my DD that runs 13.1 on street tires..not that fast but it will be a good race,93pony recipe

I'm just gonna question why this keeps happening? If i's happened twice with two different gears, don't you want to trouble shoot the cause of the issue and stop "band-aiding" it by buying a softer gear?
