Well I just got home from having my DSG 03 Cobra dyno tuned at AED here in Northern California. Today went very well with the tuning. After really fine tuning the car we made a pass and came out with 497/524 STD, 481/506 SAE on the same run. We were really happy with that pass but knew it was just a little too much with pump gas. So we de-tuned the car to 19* of timing and came up with 488/506 STD, 472/502 SAE. Couldn't be happier with the tune, and the numbers the car came up with. Anybody know how these STD #'s match up to similar modded cars or even higher modded cars?

-AED tune by Shaun
-Billetflow 2.76 upper with 100 idler - 74.5 Goodyear belt
-04SLEEPER ported and polished TB
-JLT CF RAI
-Bassani or/x and catback
-NGK TR6's
-Stock pumps, injectors, blower, MAF

472/502, impressive!

And don't get in the habit of posting none SAE numbers if you want to be taken seriously.

I think 50Deep made 476/502 SAE with a 2.8 pulley...

reading comprehension > me. the only thing that seems kinda high is the torque. if it its really 502rwhp with a stock lower pulley thats impressive and odd at the same time lol!

477/504 is what mine made. I had a 2.81 pulley, single blade T/B, GT cams and high flow cats at the time. Stock fuel & MAF. Dynoed in 104 degree heat.

Your numbers look good. Most guys I see with smaller pulleys and no cats make close to what I did with my old setup. I think SVT306snake made about your numbers with his 2.76 also. You had a nice cool day and an good tuner. Congrats [patriot]

That's the beauty of SAE correction factors. These details are accounted for and we have a common baseline for comparison.

Nice #s! What did it baseline before they tuned it?

Thanks. I know what you're saying, that's why I posted both numbers. So people could see what it actually made and SAE corrected. I see people all over forums posting STD numbers only. Some people like to see actual and SAE.

8stang8: No before #'s. Didn't want to risk anything with no cats and all. Afterwards though I was really curious what it would have made in stock trim...

Good numbers. That's why I like seeing both STD and SAE. Gives you a good idea of what the car actually made, and what the SAE correction # is. Shaun's dyno right?

ugotsmoked: Thank you sir. Now we"ll have to run em' and see what the outcome is!

^ Good to know. I've got a guy on another forum telling me that Dynocom dynos read high blah blah blah, big surprise huh. So I'm trying to put numbers together to show him what the dyno has been showing with different mods...

Dynocom #'s can be changed anytime the operator desires.....but we don't do that at AED.
Our Dynocom is within 1/2 of 1% of a Jeff S's Dynojet 224....with the standard Dynocom calibration.
