I just got one yesterday. I heard the damage will be around $142.00. I pulled away from my apartment complex and was pulled over within 1/2 block. Lucky me

$142 thats better than what people have been telling me. I had someone telling me it was going to be $450 and another said around $250. I really hope it is around that $142 which is still steep! Can anyone confirm how much it is?

Yeah around 150 that was when i went in front of a judge he bumped it down. I got 1 like 2 months ago in Sunnyvale. Cop was a dick I had my belt buckled but it wasn't over my shoulder I'm used to putting it under my arm so he got me for that

I had like 7 of those.. 2 in 2 days like a dumbass, was county was it in? Mine were in coco county so I just plead guilty and asked for community service. So I paid 30dollar community service fee and had my old coach say I helped out at te school. Soo if u can pull this off that is the easiest way.

Looks like $142 for first timers,
From SJPD website: If youre planning to hit the road for a late spring or early summer getaway, be sure that everyone in the car wears their seat belt on every trip, day and night. Law enforcement throughout the state, including San Jose Police Department will be looking for unbelted drivers and passengers as part of the 2010 Click It or Ticket mobilization, May 24 - June 6. This year, fines and fees have increased from $132 to $142 for first time adult seat belt violations. For children under 16, the fine is now $445 for a first time offense.

My passenger didn't have his belt on and the officer gave me two tickets, since it was my responsibility.....passenger paid for both. Around $200 or so.

Depends on the county, most have their own bail schedule for fines and those fines should posted on the court website for the issuing county.
