yes, another post about p90x!
i know a few guys talked about getting on this, or saying their buddy is on it, but does anyone have any personal experience on either one?

i guess the insanity workout doesnt require weights, and you get "ripped" in 60 days, i googled it and it turns out its by the same people that do the p90x, which does require weights, and takes 90 days?

seems like cut vs yolks! im leaning towards yolked.. does anyone know what else you need to buy aside from the dvds? weights, pull up bar, etc? thanks for the future advice.

You gotta remember working out is the easy part. Maintaining a lifestyle and diet to get a body like they advertise is the hardest part.

Since you said you want to get yoked look into the bodybuilding forums and see what guys are doing to put on some bulk and supplements they are using to help achieve their goal. At the very least you will want to get a good whey protein.

Sounds like the difference between 10 minute abs and 7 minute abs.

P90x works really well, but like stated you really have to check your diet. I used p90x style workout to shred down to crusierweight for a match. One thing I observed is you will quickly balloon up if you dont maintain a active lifestyle after the 90 days.

thanks guys, generally im not morbidly obese, or anything like that.. i just want my guns to tone up, and eventually get that 6pack for the summer.
but i definetly feel you guys on the diet part.
i did a lil more research, and i know what else im gonna need.

i used to be deep into supplements, but decided they cant be good for me in the long run.
i was N O Xplode an hr before workouts, Muscle Milk an hr before/ after workouts, and multi vitamins, and my guns stayed polished. im just now looking for an alternative, maybe stick with the multi vitamins, and muscle milk.

May I recommend, GNC mega mens sport-pack, GNC Whey Protein and Glutamine. I was doing the whole supplement thing and it was good for the quick lean. But the overall more maintainable and cost effective lean was to do it without supps. I long stopped p90x, but I still do the core training. I mixed it in with my current workout. Also a good workout regimen is key.

Good Luck, register at bodybuilding.com lots of good advice and perks over there.

Ive lost 30 pounds and added 60% to my weight lifting routine using the guidance on scoobysworkshop and scooby forums. He is gay as fuck but has some great diet and guidance and excellent videos.

I went from 330 to 295 in a matter of 4 months and Im still fat (in my opinion) but Im 6foot3 and getting there. I have now started to gain weight but still loosing inches in my waist line so I am very very happy but it took over 4 months to start seeing results.

As far as supplements I like optimum nutrition whey protein.

I tried the GNC brand but its higher calories and each service is 3 scoops. Look hard at the labels and remember that this is NOT a food item so NLEA doesnt apply to it they just simulate it.

if your a little bigger trying to cut down to what they look like on either of those programs it might take a couple rounds.
ill be done with p90x in a month and a half, it works great.

even for just general fitness its excellent

supps are animal pump (best pre workout made in my opinion), muscle milk, bcaa and ZMA.

How much does it cost to get either set of DVD's.

I'm interested in trying out insanity but I can't afford to go out and spend over a $100 on a couple of DVD's if their not going to work for me.

Both will work, but both require dedication. ALOT. p90x is more than just a couple DVDs too.

hope the person that PM'd me doesnt mind that I answer in public. Only because I got a couple of PM's about my training method.

I was able to shred down to Cruiserweight from Heavyweight for my latest fight. I used p90x core and plyometrics workout mixed in with my own weight training schedule. In some cases I didint agree with the p90x diet (because I had a different goal and needed more cals). But for the most part it is pretty solid and something you can maintain going forward. I am not sure I would do p90x 2x's more as I would mix in what works into a your own workout. Again it depends on your goal. Sorry I dont have a before and after but here is a pic of my shred down to Cruiserweight.

 -

I for the most part now walk round at 210lbs but can shred down if needed again easily. But I doubt I fight at cruiserweight again. Them youngsters are fast as hell at cruiser. I looked like a train wreck after my last fight.

Also keep in mind I am 36, so I dont think I am doing bad for a old fart.

I dropped like 20lbs to fight at cruiser. But I aaaight...lol. No crack diet here, just leaned up for the fight. I am back to about 210 right now. Someone asked for a before and after of the p90x and this was the closest I had.

yo fellow pinoy...nothing like eating a balanced diet, getting rest, and consistency with the iron and cardio. just the basic fundamentals is key ive kept in my head all these years ive been on em. although i heard from some cats from the gym that p90 does really work when you want that cut look. im not a fan off all those supplements and training programs out there and it does get expensive. hit me up if u ever in my neighborhood so we can hit em. been at 24 since 93 all over the peninsula.....ingat pare ko

This sh*t is hella hard. I tried it and I puked my first time out. I was doing the first workout too, I think it is called sally or lucy or something like that.... Definitely worth it. But very very rigorous

Like N8 said, go on bodybuilding.com lots of good info. I try to stay away from GNC I think their products are over priced. I shop @ The Vitamin Shoppe they seem to have better prices on things I use like Whey Protein and a few other things. Its been mentioned thru out this thread but Diet is key and excercise..
