Just letting you guys know that I got scammed by a member on here (510 fifty) Chris. He sold me a 106mm turbo ($1500)that he said was a fresh rebuild from Garrett. I met him in person to pick up the turbo, where he told me that it was a fresh rebuild, and was sitting on his shelf for the last year. I checked the end play and that it spun freely, wich it did. I signed up here as a new member (fake name/location)because I saw he had a FS add for a Mustang MAC exhaust. I PM'd back and fourth with him and was going to meet up, but he got cold feet. He lives in Patterson and drives a black lifted ford with flames on the front. He also drives a black Ford fusion on 20's. He works at his moms club in San Leandro off E.14th st. His day's are numbered, he cant run forever. Hope your reading this Chris!!!

Just giving you guys a heads up since he is still trying to sell stuff online!!!

You probably have too much to lose for a personal visit, as most of us on cafords do. I have heard a lot of problems with that guy but have no personal experience with him except the pedestal mount rockers he wanted to sell me without the bolts. I passed.

Anyway I think he should man up and split the cost of a rebuild with you.

Just my opinion tho and those are like assholes, I know.

If people are wondering 106mm turbo are not cheap, so $1500 for a used one is probably a lot cheaper than a new one.

he painted a members old school and did a horrible job with overspray everywhere. even spilled paint on his trailer.
he also kept another members catback and played hide and go seek for awhile.

Thats not cool...people ruin great sites...we need to figure out a system for the sale section or just be very careful and thurough with purchases...like paperwork in big items like Turbos, if Garrett did a rebuild, you get a workorder, and provide that or ask for it before a purchase...just keep tabs on all the shady cats and if you have a bad rep, post their names/username on ur sig and we can all see who's good for stuff around here...sorry about that hopefully that fool doesnt skip town, we might have to get a rig and impound that truck he's got, i could use one for the snow ...

I don't recall seeing him on here very often. How have you tried to contact him? There's a chance he got the turbo being told it was rebuilt and just didn't open it up to inspect it. If he knows the deal and is avoiding you then he's a douche but if he hasn't had a chance to make it right then I'd give him that chance. He could be avoiding you because he doesn't have the money to give you for the turbo back, I hope he has a reasonable explanation for the situation and makes it right.

I have visited the current address (where his truck & Mustang are), and they say he does not live there. Even though he renewed his DL with that address as of Nov. 9th. I have left several messages, E-mails and text's on both numbers that he has. If he does not have the money as of now thats fine, he just needs to tell me in person or by E-mail. I even offered him an easy way out and pay half($750), since it would save me about $700 from buying a new turbo. It's around $1600 to replace the center section. I spoke with the person that owned the turbo before Chris, and both partys knew of the condition. He could have it alot easyer then what he is choosing....

this is pretty messed up. The funny thing is that i remember when he got the turbo from the other party from this board. 510 fifty was goijg to put it on his car cause to his understanding it was a good turbo. He was also givin the hot side with it and was excited that he only neeeded the cold side and a few other parts but he sold the car it was going on. Sounds to me like the guy that traded him the turbo and hot side was pissed about the paint job and so he gave him a messed up turbo hoping he would'nt pull it apart. I dont think he would have taken it in trade just to have to turn around and and rebuild it and spend more mone and be more in the hole. My 02.

Well, if you can replace that finned fan for a good price, replace it and use it. If not, find out who his parents are and inform them of his misleading ways of deceit, deception, lies, ect. Say your a good god-fearing christian. And you felt he was a good christian, too. And you trusted him and his words. They will take pity and either refund you from their pockets or they will dish-out morality-justice to their son.
Or think of the possibility this guy was unaware of the damage to the edges of this turbo. Just address this to him and he'll be cool about it.

Believe me there is more personal info I.e. Addresses, DL#, SS#. that are not being posted. If I wanted to screw this guy, I could without a problem. I hired a PI (family friend)for a short time, to get all info needed on him. I've given him plenty of chances to come clean. It's his choice what he is doing. I have sat outside the address(s) plenty of times, and he knows it!!! If he thinks im going to forget about $1500, he's mistaken...

Simple fix, Phone call or E-mail...

Is there a dollar amount that you think its ok to start posting personal info? I would be posting all the info I had for a lot less and hoped it pissed the guy off. Hopefully I would not have to waste my time looking for him as he would be contacting me!!

yea thats some bs my buddy bought a morroso oil pan of someone who clames they only used it for a little while or something. turns out it was all warped and couldnt hold a seal [Mad] what goes around comes around shady ppl will get theres [patriot]

Where do you come from? In our society we have laws. If you take the law in your own hands, you go to jail. It actually doesn't matter where you come from in the law's perspective. Prison accepts law-breakers from all walks of life.

If someone scams you, there is due process. You can legally take them to court, tell your story, and get your money back if you are so entitled.

luke is right,3-4 years ago, if it was me. id be at his door ste ready to beat on him. but now with alot to lose you got to follow the law/rules even if your from"da hood homie"
