I'm stuck in horrible traffic and right befo 98th there was 15 chp patrol cars and 4 bike chp just chillin. Go further and 66th is closed with news vans in the shoulder but nothin in site wrong. Finally get past it and 880 south bound goes another 6-8 chp and a chp bus??? Did I miss something?

OAKLAND — A California Highway Patrol ceremony for a fallen comrade is backing up traffic for several miles on northbound Interstate 880 from 66th Avenue through San Leandro.
The sight of all the CHP units gathered for the event is causing motorists in all lanes to slow down.
The event is to honor CHP Officer Brent Clearman, who was on patrol when he was struck by a car on the 66th Avenue ramp onto northbound I-880. He died the following day, and the person responsible was eventually convicted in the case.
A portion of the interstate is being named in honor of his life and service.
