I need to see if anyone can run a plate for me. There's a car at my plant that appeared one day, no one knows whose it is and its sat for nearly 2 months. No sign of being stolen, but figured I'd ask to have the plates run to be sure. Its a red 95gt. Pm me for the plate. Thank you.

2 of the times my car was found b/c a noisy person reported it.

Call the local PD and report it....Whenever I see "possible" stolen cars on my street I ALWAYS call them in. Even if theyre not stolen, if it looks suspicious I call the PD. No point in just leaving it there and minding your own business [Roll Eyes]

Thats kinda foul. My friend is PD and he tells me a large majority of retured stolens come from people choosing to not mind their business. If my car is stolen PLEASE YA'LL MIND SOMEONE ELSE'S BUSINESS...lol.

Why don't you stay on topic instead of bring up other things people do?

We had a car parked out here for a week and I called it in. An officer was out within the hour and took care of it. Never really knew what happen to the car.

I think the OP is trying to do a good thing, however you shouldn't have someone run the plate for you since personal info. could be passed along if anything just call it in. I also understand what tashas coupe is saying, is a hood thing.

Chance's are unless its called in no one will just run a plate.. Most depts these days make you log into the clets system (California Law Enforcement Telecommunication System) and they monitor what you do on there.. randomly running plates can get an officer in trouble.

I would still call it in to the local PD as an abandoned car.. since its next to your plant they should check it out.

+1 Big no no!

If I ran it and it came back stolen then I am left explaining why I was running a plate that I was not in the area of. Just call the locals and advise of the suspicious vehicle in the lot. Provided the plate. They can run it and send an officer if it warrants it. No big deal.
