WONDER CALIFORNIA IS BROKE!!!


This English teacher has phrased it the best I've seen yet....
(From a California school teacher) - - -
"As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:
I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.
Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens , Huntington Park , etc., where
these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.
Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll -- but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. ( OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK )
I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones.. The school also provides daycare centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)
I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America ..

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them "Putas" whores and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.
Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc, etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements ?
To those who want to point out how much the se illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs .
Higher insurance, medical facilities closing , higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools,overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc, etc ...For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.
We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?
It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education , that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses
to assimilate , and an American culture that has become<= SPAN class=EC_ecececapple-converted-space> so weak and worried about " politically correctness " that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

CHEAP LABOR? Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents,he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.
He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.
He qualifies for food stamps.
He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.
His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.
He requires bilingual teachers and books.
He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.
If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare. All of this is at (our) taxpayer's expense.
He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.
Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.
He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.
Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills.
The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.
Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT!

I came here learned english in less than a year..put to shame any kid in my class in math and I could read and write better than most people that where born here...learned about cars from books..and I could school most wyotech or uti graduates..my parents ain't never evaded taxes , never took any government help . So; you and your parents are illegals and or were illegals. How many years did they/you work in this country and not pay a dime of taxes S.S.? How I feel proud to say that I paid for your education. Seeing as your parents probably were not legalized by the time of you started going to school.

But to each there own. Hopefully you all have green cards/been legalized and pay your fair share of taxes. Hell maybe if you are upstanding citizens you will payback for all the back taxes and services you used and didnt contribute to.

its funny how people bash on immigrants coming to America, yea its not right that they are not paying taxes but alot of them are trying to do better for them and their family, like how we would do for ours. but we gotta remember we all started from some ware and sure as hell wasn't HERE unless your a native. im pretty fucking sure that i would catch most people on here picking fruit under the hot ass sun for $5. we can just blame the immigrants but also the business owners who are paying because at the end of the day who's decision is to hire and pay them?

Welfare was a support system set up in depression era America so that large families would not starve when times got rough. At its peak in the 1930's there was about 1 person receiving welfare for ever 150 ish working men. Today the ratio is about 1 in 4.

The welfare system never changed to suit the times, it was never meant to support people for a long amount of time. Only to help people along until they could get a good job and pay their own bills.

A new system needs to be set up so the government is not paying for all of these peoples living expenses. However i have no idea what that may be.

Maybe he was here on a work VISA, which would not have made him illegal per see yet. So was he here legally with a work permit and got nationalized?

Check your facts. Maybe he was paying taxes under someone elses social security number? Then you would be right.

okay this post was to show where california is spending the money it dont have. 9cobra7 is correct when he states this is one major cause of californias money issues. also white people didnt make this country the way it is today. think about all the black, hispanic, asian, middle eastern, native american, ect people that died for this country. we all made this a great nation. and when i see those black, hispanic, asian, middle eastern people i dont think of them as a RACE i see them as AMERICANS.

ALSO on a side note about race. i dont see black people as AFRICAN AMERICANS i just see AMERICANS. this is a great time in history and there is no time to have a racial devide.

People wanted to talk about MJ's funeral cost and I wanted to post something that happens all year long, year after year. Mj's funeral was a one day event. This is just one of many ways we waste money and wanted to point it out. I'm on my way up to the San Francisco to mingle with a lot of different type of Americans (races) which should be fun. This just goes to show you how deep peoples feelings really are and how hidden our explosive nature is. Look at what you guys are saying to each other and many different opinions we have here, this is really something.

Im Mexican/White, I work my ass off on a daily basis driving 100's of miles and lifting 1000's of pounds of concrete and related items by hand. My parents make decent $ but with 4 kids and a house they didnt have the $ to help me. No issue, i figure id apply for aid and loans and put myself through school. Well my parents made so much i was disqualified from every aid and grant i applied for, being i lived in their house. Yet my job didnt pay me enough to fund myself.
But 2 good friends of mine; each had parents who werent legal and made what my parents do, were both granted aid AND ethnicity supported grants that i was denied. They got to go to top rated schools (ucla and arizona state) while I put dreams of a higher education on hold, and had to go to work.

well I have no problem with immigrant, the problem is that these Ilegal immigrants are asking for too much! Because you were not a burden to the state does not mean the next illegal immigrant is not a burden. So what do we do? Try to find out the ones that are a burden and the ones that are not a burden? That would be an administrative mess. It's better to just not have illegal immigrants.

Now the reason I feel they should not have an education or any other services is because they truly are not contributing to taxes and by receiving free services we encourage more and more and more and more illegal immigrants to come here. What does this cause? An additional burden and a higher proportion of tax dollars being directed towards their needs. Before you know it half of California will be illegal immigrants and only half of California will be paying for the services they receive.(Yes, half is a high number, but I'm just trying to demonstrate my point)

Now by offering those people who are here illegally no services we reduce the incentives for illegal immigrants to want to come here and get free services that we, the tax payers, must provide.

Another point, you probably feel that when I say illegal immigrants I am speaking of only those from Mexico or South America. But that is not true.

I'm sure you've heard of illegal Chinese coming here in cargo containers etc. There are probably people from every ethnicity here in the U.S. illegally.

What can you say about 89 306's post above, he can't even complete a sentence without serious grammar issues. I've only seen a few people who posted some accurate responses to what the teacher was trying to communicate about the waste and lack of appreciation for what the illegals are getting for free. This about illegals, not race and yes they happen to be Mexican in this instance. Sorry it offends some of you sensitive asswipes so get some more Preparation H if this hurts. How the hell are you supposed to have a discussion if you can't actually talk about the problem here which again is illegals. Aahhh did I say it again...illegals!!! People are so fuckin' sensitive and politically correct we;ll soon be to afraid to say anything and just let states problems get worse. People keep saying just stop talking about politics so that means just bury your head in the sand and shut up. There is definitely not much we can do to stop every illegal immigrant from coming here. BUT our government can stop indirectly giving them incentives to want to come here.
