So all my closest boys are all manning up and proposing to their significant others over the past couple years. This was the latest one to bite the bullet. I had to take a picture to show the tax on this thing, it's ridiculous!

Man I got out cheap..... I did this whole thing back in feb, I went to shane co 14k white gold engagment and wedding ban ( no stone ) 550.00 lose .69ct diamond 1600.00 and she loves it.

That's a car payment without the car! My ex had this thing for diamonds, always wanted new and more expensive shit..... she wasn't worth it so that's why she's my ex. I lucked out with my wife. She had a ring with a very nice stone passed down to her from her grandmother so I got a nice ring and we had that stone moved over. I was willing to buy a whole ring but the sentimental value of the stone made the ring special and it looks better than what I could have plunked money down for.

well u know what they say.the rule of thumb for buying engagement rings is to budget 2 months salary so time to save that money guys to make your women happy.

we will never win that argument or understand woman for wanting such an expensive item but the same goes for them thinking we're crazy to buy a 5k blower or a 15k toy we drive on the weekend.

Look at the history of diamonds. There not rare at all, they only mine so many so they can charge money like this. For gods sake they put them in the saw cutting blades of all the concrete cutting machines. I wish women would just go for the phony diamonds because when someone steals it or she loses it....oh boy. congraz man.

brings back memberies for me. i bought my wife a ring for 5k back when i was maken 3k a month. i didnt follow the rule of spending two months salary but she really love it anyway.

with in one year of being married my wife encoruaged me to get my current mustang for $12k.

she has also spent sveral hundres of dolors over the two years we have been married on TV's, video games and car parts for me.

i ususally buy her jewlery for bithdays, aniversary type events.

comparing to before i was marrried and after. i get more stuff and have more money spent on things i want then before.

so for all guys who say that once you are married your car hobby goes bye-bye. its not true at least its not true for me.

Speaking from experience, diamonds are a worst investment that automobiles. Diamonds have an inflated value controlled by how many are released to market at any one time. They are not rare, nor are they hard to mine. Aluminum takes more effort to mine and refine to market than diamonds do.

Also, anyone who tells you diamonds are an investment is either an idiot or a jewelry salesman. Diamonds ARE NOT an investment. Try selling that $13k ring on the open market and see what you get. You'd be lucky to recoup 50% of its purchase price. [/jaded rant]
