At an event in Switzerland in 2002, Colin Powell was asked how he felt about the U.S. being referred to as the "Great Satan." Here was his response:

Yea more people need to know how much the U.S. has done to fight for everyone's rights.

Obama hasn't mentioned shit about Bosnia and other times when the U.S. fought for Muslims rights and freedom. All I hear is apologies and other bullshit.

Did anyone listen or read the speech from Cairo, Egypt? He could have explained many of the times the U.S. has come to help Muslims, but he didn't

The world is lucky someone like me isn't running the country because I wouldn't help anyone after the shitty treatment we get. So many countries are just like the dirtbags that live here.... happy to hold their hand out when they need something then talk shit. Kinda reminds me of people that talk shit about cops because they got in trouble while breaking the law but expect to call 911 and have one at their front door in 30 seconds. We are in such a bad financial state they need to quit wasting money giving it to shit countries that don't appreciate it..... sorry for the rant, this stuff pisses me off.

I don't get how ppl in this country call themselves Americans. Majority don't know the constitution, they don't vote and worst of all they are sitting idle while our liberties are being stripped from us and our govt veers away from capitalism and pursues fascist/socialist policies. Not that we even had true capitalism in the past 30+ years.

People are more concerned about catching their favorite tv show or other less important issues. I have my hobbies and responsibilities but it's also our duty as Americans to keep an eye on the govt and make sure we protect our freedom and rights.

The current administration has proved the "change" they want is bigger more powerful govt. It's a sad time for America and I'm really scared for the first time about our future.

I agree with you 100 percent with what you just said. I'm a youngsta (20yrs old) and I always here "Fuck the police" yea theirs some dirty cops, but we can't jump the gun and put them all In the same boat. But then theirs a lot of stereo types against us youngstas, just because some of us are young and dumb doesn't mean were all just as dumb.sorry for goin off topic a bit.

The we as the U.S. Need to put our self's into consideration and take care of our economy issues, most of those country's that we help won't even change and appreciate us, ware are all the countrys we have helped? I don't see them helping us! but yea they sure love us when were pouring money into their countrys but as soon as we leave their all gona look at us bad. but who's gives a shit UNITED WE STAND fuck the rest lol.

I'm most likely one of the oldest people on this board and I can say we were all young and dumb at one point, some people forget that. We tend to criticize because some people's "dumb" is MUCH dumber than what we did but it is what it is. I've talked to some of the people that at first I thought were idiots and find they are good people, just from a different world than I am.... I still think sideshows and dohnut video's are retarded though
I don't think we can turn our back on the world but we need to be more selective with who we help. Its proven time and time again some countries we give tons of money to aren't our friends, they keep taking and pissing on us. If I had any say so in the matter the only thing fuckin Russia would get from us is a big box of elephant shit every year because they continue to screw us. I'd quit sending aid to Somalia until the people handle those pissant pirates..... the list goes on. The world needs a big wake up call by us shutting everyone off for a while and see how bad life is without our help..... kinda like the kids that bitch constantly, take away all the video games, stereo, internet and ipod's and see how they feel.
